We stayed for five nights, and felt almost like we were living there by the end of the trip. The location is great – you have one of Taipei’s most interesting neighbourhoods on your doorstep, and can enjoy it before/after the day trippers have gone home. The property itself has a lot of character and has been nicely fitted out. Loved having a record player in the room, and getting occasional visits from the house cat. Speaking of the cat: it has the run of the property and is the only member of “staff” who’s on site during the night. Guests can get a discount on coffee at the cafe on the ground floor, though it doesn’t open until 11am so you’ll have to go elsewhere for breakfast (try the congee restaurant opposite the market).

We really appreciated the hot/cold water purifier/dispenser that we didn’t need to buy drinking water at all. The owner was very friendly and we really felt his hospitality.

Set in Taipei, near Taipei Main Station, 所在行旅 features free WiFi. All air-conditioned units include a basic kitchenette, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. It was very convenient because it was just a 8-10 mins walk from train station. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous view, everything was clean and modern and we loved that it was a 2-in-1 washer dryer machine. Loved staying here with my family with two young children.
