From the seamless pick-up and drop-off from Sandakan to the incredible activities arranged by the lodge, every detail was perfect. The lodge itself was well-equipped and comfortable, and we were thrilled to find reliable WiFi in the common area. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the river cruises, expertly guided by Linda and her team. Their knowledge and dedication were evident, and they went above and beyond to ensure we saw the best wildlife the region has to offer, including the elusive Big 5. Linda's passion and expertise truly enhanced our experience, making each cruise an adventure to remember. A special mention goes to the food – the best Malaysian home-cooked meals we’ve ever had! The lodge graciously accommodated our vegetarian request, and every meal was a delightful culinary experience. This stay comes highly recommended for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of Borneo's jungle while enjoying excellent hospitality and thrilling wildlife adventures. El The Last Frontier Boutique Resort se encuentra en Bilit, en lo alto de una colina de 100 metros con vistas a la reserva forestal de Kinabatangan y a 2 horas en auto de la hermosa Sandakan. This is not just a ‘business’, it is a passion! Jason and Gert are sharing a piece of the rainforest to help travelers experience wildlife, insects and plants in their natural habitat. Jason and Gert have created a safe and relaxing environment for all guests to experience true nature. The cabin has wood walls and floors - simple design and furnishings, and so comfortable. There are 2 chairs on the balcony, outside of each room, to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The daily schedule is designed for 2 nights, but we wanted some additional quiet time in the jungle so stayed for 4 nights. Jason made sure that we received different meals for lunch and dinner - he really works to make all meals special! The banana pancakes with homemade caramel sauce is phenomenal! The dining room (with ceiling fans) is also a place that you can hang out - have a coffee, read, play cards, visit and/or observe your surroundings. There is always a pitcher of cold and refreshing water waiting for you. There is a terrace off the dining room (no fans) with benches and small tables - great to look out over the landscape. We went on an amazing evening boat cruise every evening (included in the package). The optional sunrise river cruise starts at 5:30 am - beautiful and quiet (additional small fee). During our cruises, our guide/captain Rodel helped us find Pygmy elephants, crocodiles, hornbills, kingfishers, Silver Leaf monkeys, Proboscis monkeys and macaque monkeys. We absolutely loved our time on the Kinabatangan River! Jason, Gert and staff are so calm, friendly and informative. A once in a lifetime experience/place to enjoy nature and learn about/observe amazing Borneo animals in the wild!

El Bayu Senja Lodge se encuentra en Kundasang y ofrece vistas al jardín, wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratuito. The lodge is amazing and it is location is readily and easily found within the Waze App. Signs to go to the place are easily seen so you wont get lost. Although the small stretch of roads heading to the lodge was rocky and bumpy, it was still a great experience! Location was beautiful and the view is just immaculate. Wonderful and helpful staff! Do prepare some mosquito patches for yourself if you need it. If not, you are good to go! And the parking space is limited, so plan ahead when you are renting a car to drive to this place!

El 1Borneo Hypermall está a 37 km del chalet. everything, best healing place with affordable price for family trip,will come back again. just a caution on the road, a bit steep, if you are using auto car, then use low gear, if using manual, make sure your brake and tyre in good condition for more grip, please be more careful especially during rain, since road may get slippery. recommended place to stay

El Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge se encuentra en Sandakan y ofrece restaurante, bar y wifi gratis. Todos los alojamientos tienen aire acondicionado y zona de estar y/o de comedor. The room was really comfortable with everything needed. Good breakfast and dinner, there was enough food and it was good. The price for the dinner (35 MYR per person is very reasonable in my opinion, especially considering the remote location). We really enjoyed the river cruises. One of them was the highlight of our trip to Borneo as we got to see the herd of pigmy elephants. The boat driver/guide was very excited as well, he changed the position of the boat numerous times while we were watching the elephants so that we could do lots of wonderful photos.
