Wonderful stay with home atmosphere, nice and kind staff,the best breakfast I have ever had with a great choice of fruit, vegetables,cheese, ham, eggs and everything, including local specialities. Rooms are big with balcony, clean and cosy. Hotel has a strategic position in the center close to ski slopes but also to the shopping possibilities. We will come back in summer ideal place for vacation.

The apartment was fantastic, plenty of room, great kitchen, easy access and parking and great bathroom and cleanliness. The staff was amazing. I fell quite sick during my stay and they were super helpful with everything including bringing special food to the room for remedy.
The SPA area is amazing!

Dinner menu was different everyday, with locally sourced ingredients and bountiful food. They had several special event dinners, including a vast spread of fish, sushi, shellfish etc for Shrove Tuesday.

Lovely, pretty village, been regular visitors for some years. Great skiing for beginners and families. Good facilities and shops. Skiing faciltiies close to the village and great ski rental and instructors (Skischule Maier).

Cute city, but lacks content. We were there for skiing in the winter months. Ski area is pretty small, just a few slopes. The city itself is very small and cute, but boring. There is no events or activities except skiing whatsoever. It also lacks restaurants and cafes in the city and at the skiing grounds as well. There are 2 middle sized grocery stores which is ok. It has beautiful nature and is very peaceful and quiet.

The village is rural and has a lovely rustic feel. If you have beginners in the group you need to know that the main ski area is separated from the nursery slopes by a cable car ride. If the whole group can ski blue runs or higher this would not be a problem but if you have to meet beginners at the bottom you need to factor in time to get back there. The surroundings are very scenic and Rauris represents the ideal starting point for walks in the area, giving good access to the Rauristal and the Grossglockner. Peace, relaxation, plenty of possibilities for hiking in...
Peace, relaxation, plenty of possibilities for hiking in nature, birdwatching (interesting birds of prey centre and living birds of prey demonstration - I even touched an owl, WHOW!), very interesting local history and cultural heritage (museum!) - just perfect place to relax away from mass tourism. But Rauris has everything much larger and crowdier places have - including a cable car, nice restaurants and caffes, shops with sport equipment... all at hand and very friendly.

With a huge balcony, overlooking the mountains, splendid view. The hotel staff was very kind and tried to help us with the booking issue we had. The summer card is also included in the price which is a great deal and one can save a lot with it on the nearby amenities. Lots of places to hike, wander around with kids. Good shopping in the village 5 min walk away.

We hired our skis (as we always do) from sport eggar, which is about 15 meters away. The walk over to the main gondola is also very close, probably only about 50 meters away. Rainbergerhof has its own warm boot and ski room so plenty of places to store your gear after a day on the slopes.
