I don't usually like self check in as I think that contact with hotel staff is an important part of the stay. Despite this the motel was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious, bed was very comfortable and the underfloor climate control system effective. En suite was also spacious with a great walk in shower. I also appreciated the ordinary coat hangers in the wardrobe. Parking was easy either out front or in the underground garage. The adjacent bakery was useful for a quick breakfast. For dinner we went to a brilliant Italian pizzeria - a menu is available in the lobby. After our hotel in Liechtenstein this place was excellent value and much better standard and only a short drive to the border.

The Hotel Bären is just a 2-minute walk away from the historic centre of Feldkirch, and 400 metres for the main train station. It offers rooms with spacious bathrooms.

The staff were exceptional, helpful, friendly, and informative. Sébastien provided great recommendations for what to do in the city. Thanks very much, Sébastien. I arrived shortly after the reception desk closed for three hours. Through the grace of God, one of the receptionists met me on her way out. She didn't ignore me and go about her business. She recognized and acknowledged that I was potentially a guest at their hotel and allowed me to leave my luggage until it was time for check-in. This supported my ability to have a hassle-free visit around their beautiful city while I waited for their check-in time. The room was gorgeous, and one was welcomed with a decanter of water. I adored their attention to detail with their decanters and the decor. It's a reminder that one is not staying just anywhere. One is staying at the Hotel Baren. The view of the landmark was amazing. Breakfast was great. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. I would visit again and I would recommend it to everyone.
