Honestly best hotel I have ever stayed in. The free bikes are amazing. The restaurant food was top quality. The breakfast was great. The staff are the best hotel staff I have ever seen. I have stayed in hotels so much more expensive and never got anywhere near the level of service I received in this hotel. I will be back again without a doubt.

The room is super spacious and we loved especially the huge wardrobe. Seating area in the room is also very nice. The hotel has nice and spacious ski and ski-boot rooms. Breakfast was really rich and good. Parking is a little tricky in the village centre, but the hotel has sorted that out neatly in the surroundings, we have always been able to park comfortably and the walk from the parking is short from all options.

Wagrain is all about skiing.
Wagrain is all about skiing. If you don't ski, there isn't much to do around Wagrain. Swimming pool opens in the afternoon, so does the skate ring. If you have kids, there is no much other fun things to do. Most of the restaurants open at 5 pm. If your hotel doesn't offer lunch meals, you can only help yourself with snack from the two spar groceries in the village.
The ski bus is great, it runs every 10 min. However, the streets are narrow and it may get quite tight, if you meet a bus while driving.

Wagrain was a good base for many activities in a family summer vacation:
Super close:
- Grafenberg - great views, a big playground for kids
- Jaegersee - a lake with amazing view and a restaurant (I recommend the icecream). There is a short hiking trail around the lake and you can rent boats.
- Flachau indoor waterpark - Not a must, but good for rainy days (can be very crowded)
Up to 1h drive:
- Salzburg
- Lichtensteinklamm - Beautiful but very crowded - I recommend arriving right at opening time
- Gosausee - Beautiful lake also with a hiking trail
- Grollinger waterfall
- Hallstatt - Very crowded so arrive early or don't bother.

Have been visiting this ski area since 1986 and gone through all spots involved in the skiing area. In lunch time I went to the Alms where I was every single time. And always found what I wanted. Travelling either by the ski-buses or rent a car has never been a problem. Dining took place in the towns of Wagrain, St. Johann or Flachau and good restaurants easy to find.
Excellent location - somewhat secluded and far enough from the main street to remain quiet, yet just one minute walking distance from local store and ski bus stop.
The owner is very friendly and communicative. Speaks English and does not refrain from using the language, which is not necessarily true with other places in Austria I have stayed in before.
Montana is a typical Austrian pension - a cozy, home-like place. The room was renovated and perfectly fine, nothing to complain about it.
Pension Anni is a great choice in the most adorable villige Wagrain with traditional feeling amazing location accessible to great dining places, close to ski area and beautiful nature all around. Hosts are very friendly and nice people who always stop by to ask if you are satisfied and are happy to provide recommendations. We will definately come back. ! PenzionAnni was a great choice.
Best breakfast, very nice owner was always avaliable for any information. Location in the middle of everything, 2 min walk to ski bus stop or 10 min walk to flying mozart. Norbert showed us secret path (not hard to find), where you can come back to hotel on skis! After active day on ski slopes you can relax in saunas and pool 1 minute from room! Will come again!
The gardens are beautiful and the natural pool together with a breathtaking view was idyllic.
Food was delicious and plenty and the staff was very kind, also everything was impeccable.
There are many hiking possibilities around the hotel and they organize some activities in the mornings, which we found quite practical
The room is very big and nice. Furniture was comfortable, both inside and on the porch. We had a washing machine that was a nice surprise. A small pool in the complex we didn't use. The Wagrain summer card that is received when staying gives a free entrance to the water park that we enjoyed a lot.
Second time we went to Adapura, still an amazing hotel. Staff is very friendly and goes out of its way to make you comfortable. Rooms are clean. Food is delicious and the different restaurants make for a nice variation each day.
The hotel had a lovely welcoming atmosphere, great food and wellness facilities. The interior was very thoughtfully designed. The location was great, right in the middle of the ski area with easy access to all four valleys.
This is the brand new property, very near to ski lifts. Wonderful ambient, great interior. Outstanding staff, extremely polite, and skillful. The breakfast had absolutely everything needed, like the whole property.
