It’s a nice little country motor inn - clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Comfy bed, good shower. The owners/staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the motor inn’s restaurant Red Hide Bar & Grill (Tue-Sat from 6pm), wow what a lovely restaurant in such a small town! It had a lovely vibe, cosy & classy - white linen tablecloths, pretty tea lights on each table. Excellent menu, quality dishes, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Beer & wine per glass very good price, highly recommended. For a Tuesday evening, it was quite busy, probably best to book a table.
Room was clean comfortable and warm. Fresh air via secure screen door. Restaurant with room service was an added bonus after long trip. Food was excellent. Hot tasty and delivered when requested.
Only negative was no bedside lamp or bedside electrical outlet on one side of bed. Minor issue really.
Will definitely stay again

I would definitely stay in the town of Clermont again.
I would definitely stay in the town of Clermont again. Its a pretty town with lots of history and very nicely looked after. But I wouldn't stay at the Grand Hotel Motel again. There are other accommodation options, I will choose one of those.

The pub I went to for dinner in the main street had a cut off time for meals at 8 pm, I arrive at 755 pm due to travelling and a long day. We were turned away(Very disappointed) I would not recommend the hotel for anything at all . out of ten I would give them a big - 0
On a positive the management and staff at the Smart Stayz were great!!

This is a western Qld community town, everyone is friendly,
everything you want is available in the small town, prices are
good for food and fuel, cheaper than the coast of Qld. Town isd
clean and tidy, no hooligans, great outback roads.
The location. While Clermont is a town a bit out of the way but a very handy stop over if driving the Great Inland Highway, when you first drive in the town is noticeably very tidy and clean. It is spread out with a large IGA less than a minute drive away from the Peppercorn, a local pub and Bottle Shop plus other relevant facilities close to the IGA that you would expect in small regional towns. The Peppercorn was eclectic, very friendly with a small restaurant available on the premises. All in all it did exceed a number of my expectations.
This place was a fabulous find. We have stayed in other places in Clermont but this is the best. It was quiet, easy to find, safe, clean and comfortable. The extras that were complimentary was also a lovely surprise. The communication with the owners was also fabulous as we were arriving late in the evening. Nothing was a problem. There was nothing we did not like about this place. This will.always be our halfway stop now.
Pub is over 100 years old, very popular with locals. basic motel rooms with coffee making facility. Home cooked meals at pub. Motel Could do with freshening but then it would lose its country pub charm. We enjoyed it and they welcomed our Registered Assistance Dog , which the ‘Clermont Country Motor Inn’ didn’t.
Great access to the town. Helpful staff and great dinner at the Chinese restaurant which is part of the hotel. I spent a day in the gold fossicking area nearby- no gold, but I could have put a good deposit of recycled metal into the recycle bin. Very quiet and comfortable room, cool motorbikes parked outside.
Our room was reasonably roomy with table and chairs, lounge chairs, microwave, mini fridge and crockery/cutlery. The motel is located within easy walking distance of local hotels for evening meals. Toiletries were provided and there was ample hot water.
Clermont is a great little spot and a welcomed stop over for our Country trip. The Commercial Pub has nice meals at good prices. There is good sight seeing and the drive is full of beautiful views. The room was clean and well maintained.
Very friendly hosts and really modern property very neat and tidy room and overall. Really close to the local pubs for a counter meal and cold drink excellent place to stay if your in Clermont for work or passing through.
