The photos didn't give this place justice! It was so comfortable and nice. The host was so open minded and considerate! My partner booked it for us and everything was set up when we got there! Really made us feel at home and gave us a lil tour of the place before leaving us to it. We had most of our own stuff but snacks and all essentials were provided!! Definitely coming again!

Peaceful country home in a middle of a rainforest, hotel in Cockatoo

Boasting garden views, Peaceful country home in a middle of a rainforest features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 20 km from Packenham Train Station.

Beautiful, comfortable property with plenty of space for the whole family. So much thought had been put into everything, including a proper cot rather than a travel cot, highchair, a selection of tea, coffee machine and breakfast cereals, as well as a few board games and Netflix included. Beds were comfortable with snuggly bedding.

The property itself was so lovely, the host just pleasant and the breakfast provided excellent. She took into accounts everyone's tastes and had a variety of options to cater to everyone's dietary requirements. The bed was very comfortable and the heaters had been turned on prior to arrival so the room/s were inviting and warm, the host explained in detail all of the property and parking and check-out.

Carinya Park, hotel in Cockatoo

Carinya Park is situated in quiet surroundings, 8 km from Gembrook, in the hills of the Dandenong Ranges and features barbecue facilities and garden. It features a full kitchen and a private bathroom....

We were so grateful to be able to travel with our (diabetic) dog beyond the Melbourne environs for a wedding locally, and having such a serene and cosy little haven added real character to our weekend away. Gypsy was mesmerised by all the smells of the adjacent grounds, and getting to ‘meet’ one of the horses the next morning was the most beautiful way to end our stay.

A beautifully-kept house surrounded by greenery and looking out at tall trees. Silent and peaceful. Up an unsealed road, my only concern was navigating the entrance to the driveway which had to be approached several times at different angles to actually overcome the steep hump. Would definitely return. Best experiences were: the fabulous Healesville Animal Sanctuary; the 2 hour, eastern Sherbrooke Forest walk( where we saw 3 Lyre birds up close); the 1000 steps walk.

Cockatoo is a very scenic area.

Cockatoo is a very scenic area. A car is required to get around. We ate in Gembrooke at an excellent restaurant - The Independent. We visited Fielderberry Berry Farm, where you could pick your own berries. Berry Ice-cream and coffee were also available.

Ryleigh and the team are brilliant.

Ryleigh and the team are brilliant. The fire was lit before we arrived, making the room warm and toasty. Breakfast supplied, and the unit smelled just like apple pie on entry. BUT - all that pales in comparison to the location. Amazing. And less than an hour from Melbourne!
