Loved the old world charm, it was right up my alley. The only issue was the wrong pin code which took me 20 mins to finally contact the owners. Also the stairs were very very steep but once I got my bag up there it was a great spot to spend my first night in Tassie. Would definitely stay again but next time in 1 of the ground level apartments.

Terrible experience. The room we were put in was not what we were expecting or what appeared in the booking information pictures. Very very misleading booking site and very very misleading room information.

Wow this property is stunning in every way, from the rooms to the gardens and the water views. There was a BBQ and pizza oven provided and with the local knowledge of the host we found the IGA Plenty of chairs and outdoor setting to be able to soak up the sun and view. Everything was clean and tidy with a lovely selection of continental breakfast included. The host Lisa and Mario are so warm and welcoming.
I would definitely recommend this property to other guests. We can't wait to return.

Dodges Ferry is a small community with beautiful views of the water from many points, including our accommodation.
Taxi service unavailable, unless called from Hobart, which proves costly. There is one Uber driver in the town, but they are only available if not working at their other job.
Bus service is limited over weekends, to one early morning service, then one mid-afternoon service, stopping at several points before reaching Hobart ( total 1 hour trip to Hobart).
"Richmond Bakery" makes a good coffee & have very helpful & friendly staff.
