It’s so nice to find a property that is dog friendly. My little 13 yr old boy goes everywhere with us. He has his own bed on the floor and sleeps beside me. Also when you work long hours you just need a break from it all. Sommers Bay Beach House ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️is the place to be.!

With my name on a sign welcoming me until I left I felt happy. The unit itself was spacious, comfortable and clean. The garden surrounds well tended and the view of the bay from the back gate, supreme.
Simon met me as I was unloading the car and we had a brief chat about the surrounding area. He let me know that if there was anything I required I could contact him. I felt relaxed and it was very peaceful.

It was well situated for the Port Arthur site. The restaurant meal was lovely.
Amazing Destination. If you like nature, the ocean and not a lot of people it's a MUST VISIT.
There are a number of sites within a 10minute drive of Eaglehawk Neck like Tasman Arch, Blowhole, Doo'Lish food truck, Devil's Kitchen, Pirates Bay Lookout. There were also a number within easy walking distance like Dog Line, Commanders Quarters, Pirates Beach & Tesselated Stone.
Eaglehawk Neck is also centrally located for all the Tasman Peninsula attractions including Port Arthur (we did the evening Ghost Tour - very fun) hikes from Fortescue Bay (we did Cape Hauey 2,100 stair steps & incredible cliff views) as well a numerous beaches and lots gorgeous sea cliffs.

It’s a little slice of heaven where the mountains greet the sea in with beaches of pure white sand and the clouds on a misty day kiss the mountain tops. Quiet and tranquil, Eaglehawk neck will make to stop and reset.

My favourite spots were the rock formations on the coastal side - Tasman Arch, Blowhole and Devil's Kitchen. The walking trails were short and flat and very accessible right to the edge of the cliff. Would be a great place to bring elderly/wheelchair bound to enjoy nature sights. Lots of lookouts onto the bay and cliffs. Egg Beach is nice. The Officer House historic site was okay. Looked a bit run down and abandoned.

Spectacular coastline, views and access to other Peninsula destinations. The history and the geology are both compelling. You can easily reach natural attractions with accessible paths, more challenging bush walks or tourist attractions, with good food, like the Lavender Farm.

It is a very scenic location but the weather the first stop most outdoor activities cruise was cancel but we were able to change booking the next morning to the seal & ocean cruise which was wonderful. We saw many seal and also were lucky enough to see 3 humpback whale.
The location of this hotel is one of the best we have ever seen- gorgoes sweeping views of the bay, ocean sand and foliage- lovely lounge with picture windows and great bar and restaurant staff on site
Easy trip to Port Arthur (15 mins) and relaxing and quiet at the hotel.
Rooms are not large, but clean and enough room to be comfortable with wonderful view of the bay- could have stayed looking at the view forever
Requested room 7..corner apt upstairs with two windows views across beach sea. Sadly also exposed to " gale" winds overnight. 1 flight of stairs. Hotel pub is good, nit nosey St all. Typical pub menu. Easy parking. Drop off nags at reception. Heater supplied in room as are electric blankets. Jug tea coffee. Staff helpful, friendly especially " reception check in man".
The view was nice, we got the sea view room, but it's a bit foggy on the window because of the weather.
The bed of comfy and warm.
The location was nice and really close to the beach.
There is a restaurant at the hotel with delicious professional meals. You just need to book at least 30 minutes prior.
There is a laundry room for you to wash your clothes.
We were upgraded to the upstairs room. While our elderly mums are on the ground floor, which is great to near to each other. Just upstairs and downstairs with different doors and rooms.
The location is great. It is approximately a 30-minute drive to Port Arthur, and the scenic view from the room is nice.
There is a restaurant at the hotel.
What a fantastic location, suited us very well - apart from a rather grumpy manager - we all have bad days but we are the customer he should remember ! The rest of the staff super friendly and lovely. Hotel a bit tired but didn’t impact our stay - could be amazing though. Even had a band playing on Sunday afternoon which was fun.
The living room has a ceiling to floor window/door that looks out onto Eaglehawk Neck and Egg Beach. Across the road from Tessellated Pavement. Close to many beautiful lookouts, close to Tasman Arch, Doo Town, The Blowhole, Devil's Kitchen. Gas fireplace, electric blankets - was nice and cosy.
We had an awesome view from our hotel room which had been upgraded in the last few years. All the staff we had anything to do with were very friendly. It was a perfect base for us to explore all the area around Eaglehawk and Pt Arthur.
We have a lovely view of Pirate Bay. The hotel is directly opposite the Tessalated Pavement.
The staff member that assisted us when we requested a new jug/kettle was very friendly and helpful.
Nice old hotel in great location for access to Southern Peninsular. Cheerful pub with locals willing to chat about the area. Good restaurant with classic meal options and excellent oysters.
Loved the quiet hotel location opposite beach and beautiful outlook. Loved the restaurant with fabulous tasty food! Loved the great friendly customer service from all staff.
It was exactly what you'd expect of a seaside hotel. It was a good price for the quality of the room (we were upgraded to a sea view) and everyone was really lovely.
