There is no real meal options around this town after 18:00.

There is no real meal options around this town after 18:00. Most places are either closed in the main town after this time. Best options for meals eg: Dinner or Breakfast are the main road truck stops service stations who cater for the truck drivers mainly where you can dine in or take away. Menus are plentiful, lots of choices.

Gilgandra is a lovely country town and a great place to visit. A wonderful remembrance park for our fallen soldiers. The Royal hotel great for dinner. Unfortunately it was too wet for us to visit some of the places in the area Sadly the windmills in the park were not as advertised either not finished or being pulled down!!!!

If you are a plant lover then a visit (weekends only) to Orana Cactus World is a must. There is also an excellent pub, The Royal, that is worth visiting. In their beer garden is a grapevine that was planted way back in the 1890s. It still bears fruit.

A small town, not too many shops. Good for a short stay.

A small town, not too many shops. Good for a short stay. Food places few and far between. There is a Chinese buffet in main street on Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm. Fairly good price. All you can eat. Just over $15 adults. Discovered by accident when looking to order food. There is also a hotel that sells takeaway food like pizza at night. The bowls club (now sporties) also has Chinese food after 5pm most days. Hot food is hard to come by if coming through Gilgandra after 2pm and wanting quick eat before travelling on. As we were on way back from Qld. Servo pie is the best you will get.

I stayed one night on an emergency trip from Canberra tp Bingara. It was a convenient stop over and met my needs. I did not explore the area, though I have been before and think it is an interesting part of the country. Thank you

It was the perfect half way stop off for our drive between the Sunshine Coast and Melbourne. The owners were welcoming and provided a great service; and the room was extremely clean. We were travelling with a dog and a cat and they were also welcome. It was the perfect spot for very tired travelers to get a good nights sleep before continuing on their journey the next day. I would not hesitate to recommend the Bungalow Motel to others and stay there again if travelling.

We arrived after going through flooded & damaged roads in western NSW - leaving Broken Hill it was a longer drive of about 9 hours (being careful due to the roads, floods & dog breaks) the manager was helpful and friendly, the hotel was very clean and comfortable as well pet friendly - we were put at the end of the row which was very suitable for our Kelpie who is a bit reactive - it was one of the best little roadside motels we have stayed in 🙏

This motel, although cheaper than the others we have stayed at in Gilgandra, had, nicer, cleaner rooms with more modern appliances. We also didn't have to put up with drunken riff-raff congregated around the pool area like in the last place we stayed at. Will be staying at the Three Ways in the future.

Great location on the north side of Gilgandra. Easy to find and easy to drive off in the morning. Very good parking facilities. The rooms are a good size and the plates, cutlery and microwave were great for a light evening meal. Excellent value for money.

Best breakfast I've had in a hotel from memory. I knew breakfast was included but it was way more than I expected. Hosts made me feel more than welcome, were informative about the surrounds and more than willing to make my stay comfortable.
