Everyone we met were super friendly.
Everyone we met were super friendly. We were recommended the Railway Hotel for dinner, but instead we ate at Gunnedah Chinese Restaurant. The food was so fresh and delicious we wish we could have tried more dishes 😁

A nice little town.
A nice little town. The Mary McKellar mural on the side of 3 silos is great.
The Gunnedah Bowls Club has a good menu, and we enjoyed our meal there (a big serve). Breakfast at Zeds was great and is a popular spot.
The art & craft at the information centre was good as was the help from the lady working there.

I felt very much at home.
I felt very much at home. Visited old sights and places that I haven't seen for many years. Enjoyed lovely home cooking at local Clubs with Family and relatives. No problems getting around as signage is very clear, people very friendly. Sight seeing and history is most enjoyable.

Tidy clean vibrant town.
Tidy clean vibrant town. Well arrive d after an overnight at the van on Saturday morning. We shopped early looking at country wear and the young lady at the store recommended a coffee shop at the civic mall. We couldn't get in it was going off. Also we didn't try them as we were there at 0830 but restaurant selection appeared to be wide for people staying a while, Nice town. Craps all over Wellington
The Couple on Reception were very friendly with their welcome . When they realised my Wife is disabled they offered us the Disabled Room 11 which was very convenient and comfortable for us . We made our own Breakfast and they provided us with plates willingly [ on request ] so that helped a lot . All in all a very comfortable stay in Gunnedah .
I enjoy staying at the Maynestay Motel, as I have previously stayed there on more one occasion whilst requiring somewhere nice and welcoming to stay in Gunnedah for various reasons in the past few years...
I will continue to stay there whenever I get the opportunity to return. 🙂
Best location in town. Right next to Woolies for convenience and within walking distance to excellent railway hotel for a top feed. It had a complete mini kitchenette with crockery and a tea towel. Pool was also perfect for the hot day. Very clean and a comfy bed.
Went to Gunnedah for a family function. Location was good. Room was large but space was not used well. Room described as having a balcony however this was a shared space with other rooms and merely the second story of the building.
Rooms are nice, I like having a private ensuite bathroom. I like how the hotel doesn't have TAB gambling screens everywhere you look, and some nice furniture to sit in and relax. Close to centre of town.
Undercover parking at the door of our accommodation made for an easy arrival and unpacking the car. Free WiFi which meant we could stream a Netflix movie was a winner for my daughter.
Great housekeepers rooms has polished floors & comfy beds also very soundproof especially for an older style pub hotel. The s suite in room 8 was massive.
A really lovely motel. Clean, quiet modern fixtures and fittings. Overall a great motel in the main street of Gunnedah. We will be staying there again.
