If you are gold panning or just enjoying Mother Nature or doing both this is a must place to come....no doubt in our minds whatsoever!!! Our stay at the Canyon Alpine Motel was very reasonable and well within our price range and the rooms are comfy and the beds to die for! We went gold panning and we met some great locals like Crazy George who hangs out at the corner store and we can't wait to come back next spring to do some real panning! Lynton, Alexander Bridge and the Hells Gate Air Tram are all within 30 min. of the motel so Boston Bar is a great locale to call your destination in every way!!! You'd be crazy not to stay there..can't wait till next spring!!! Cheers all!

This review is for the Canyon Alpine Motel just outside of Boston Bar.
I previously wrote a review on this establishment and in light of recent information I wish to alter my review.
The owner was absent on a sudden, unavoidable, medical emergency and the poor hospitality I received was a result of this and I would not have criticized the innkeeping had I been made aware of this.
I would strongly recommend that anyone passing down the mighty and beautiful Fraser Canyon, spend some time in the small communities like Boston Bar. The Canyon Alpine Motel is a beautifully preserved establishment from the 1960's and should be appreciated for all that its conservation efforts have maintained. Truly a gem from the past and a refreshing change from the cookie-cutter hotel experience that is too prevalent these days. Having a very good restaurant right next door run by the welcoming Carl is an additional bonus and one not to be missed.
Schedule your trip around establishments like this as they are disappearing fast and I for one enjoy them for all that they offer.
The attention to detail makes this a rustic homey place. The people at the restaurant/location and the people of Boston Bar are so kind and friendly. The restaurant is a must-visit and the food! OMG, great taste and presentation. I felt safe and totally embraced and relaxed.
We needed to stay in that area for a night and there's not much choice. So we ended up here. The hotel did the job for that night.
The picknick tables in the center make a great breakfast location, provided you brought your own food.
