This hotel's staff were audaciously asking for 20% tips at breakfast. When we carried no cash, we were even ask to charge it to our room service bills. We are a senior couple travelling from U.S. and this was our first and last time to Hilton Garden Inn at Markham (Highway 7 and Highway 404). Very bad experience.

We were there for a funeral near by, so not really there to sightsee. There were some interesting shops nearby, though, and subway very close by so I would stay in future if we had other things planned in Toronto

Nice to have a microwave and a fridge. The location of the hotel is excellent on the border of North York and Thornhill giving access to both. The breakfast was very pleasant with a good selection of cereals, yoghurt, toast, waffles, pancakes, porridge and boiled eggs.

King size is huge. It fits Me, my 2 toddlers, and my husband. The other room is for my 2 girls. I would recommend this for a big family that visit Toronto. Also, the place is not crowded. Parking is safe. It's just 20 mins away from city proper.
