This hotel has the best location, with views over the Staubbach Falls. Some rooms have balconies on the waterfall side. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a good selection. The biggest asset of this hotel is the staff, personalized service and they have some really good advice about Lauterbrunnen and the area. This hotel was one of the original in Lauterbrunnen. The hotel serves breakfast only but there is a picnic room where you can prepare and eat your own meals if you want to eat in for lunch or dinner. But, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby to choose from. It is a short walk from the Train Station, taking about 10 minutes with luggage and the local bus goes past the door with 2 stops nearby, particularly good if you don't want to walk to the train station.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was clean and the view was beautiful. We took picture of the same view every morning when the sun rise and in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing all info we needed for the trip both to Interlaken and to Jungfrau. Breakfast was very good too. Too bad the weather was too cold and it was raining so we didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool. Maybe next time. We stayed there for 3 nights and will definitely stay again.

Very nice, comfortable and friendly hotel. Well positioned in easy walking distance of shops, bars and train station (interlarken west). Complimentary local transport and good local knowledge of the attractions.
