Located on a gorgeous beach on a calm lagoon, great for snorkeling and kayaking. Lovely friendly staff, they let us check in early. Restaurants and shops nearby. Excellent cold fridge and they filled up your ice bucket for you. Good internet.
This beachfront resort is set among beautiful pathways, swaying palm trees and tropical gardens. Guests can relax around the swimming pool or enjoy cocktails at the swim-up bar.

Breakfast was ok. Liked that it was adults only , surprised the bar closed at 10.
It’s close to town compared to most resorts, about a 30 minute walk. Buses go in both directions once an hour, but after 4:30 pm you have to take the clockwise bus which takes about an hour.

10 out of 10. Amazing place next to sea. All Indonesian staff are friendly, supportive and kind. They arranged pick up from RAR airport for nominal fee but if running public buses are available since property is on ring road. A 24 hours open supermarket only 10 minutes walk away. I highly recommend KiiKii motel.

Rarotonga is a must if you are looking for a slow chilled holiday, we loved it and we had a 6 month old with us. The people are all lovely and the food was quite divine, especially Takitumu tapus in Muri. The sea is phenomenal and we were lucky enough to just be out swimming by ourselves and see turtles. Resorts are welcoming even if you are not staying there. We were told it was pricey however we found it rather inexpensive, some things were on par with NZ and even a little cheaper at times for the quality. Loved our trip and will be back, note if you are there on a Sunday- most things are closed, however some eateries are still open just to be aware.

Our trip was amazing, however there was one theme that was a huge put off. Some of the places we went had absolutely horrible attitudes towards us. Rude with no greetings and sour faces, it is not nice to be treated like that. This was NOT at every place we went but it was enough times to stand out.
Apart from that....it was a fun filled trip

Rarotonga is a great place to visit.
Rarotonga is a great place to visit. Its layed back and the weather is very nice. The beaches are great. We ate at Supper Browne in Tupapa at their cafe which was reasonably cheap steak meal. The local food on the early morning on Sunday was fantastic. Going to the movies could be good for young couples to spend some quality time without being too occupied with big expensive activities.

Enjoyed staying on the island of Rarotonga.
Enjoyed staying on the island of Rarotonga. Also did a day trip to Aitutaki. Both places were great for snorkelling, need water shoes to protect your feet from the coral.
Night markets offered delicious food.
We used the local bus to get around the island.
Location great . Short walk to the lagoon, but being a little south meant there was no foot traffic in front of the resort. No children was wonderful!! I have four great kids, but just found it so relaxing not having to listen to any children (mine or others) squeals, complaining etc.
The bed was the best I've ever slept on in a hotel. Room was clean and very spacious.
Small size of the resort keeps it intimate.
All decks look out to sea. Was great Anniversary destination.
An oasis. Surroundings peaceful and beautiful garden and pool. Great for a solo traveler. Safe and relaxing. Very clean and everything there to make my stay wonderful. Enjoyed the bike supplied. Close to areas I enjoyed, Rarotongan for swimming, shops 10 mins on bike and a host of beaches great for snorkeling or swimming close by. Thankyou for your wonderful hospitality. Make sure your bring your own snorkel and reef shoes and check them before you leave home. THANKYOU!
- location very good as far as oceanfront. Note though, this is an EXTREMELY windy side to island, and very different to outside of Oceanside of complex. The snorkelling off the hotel backside is very nice.
- nice pool.
- rooms are big however tv could have been more modern and better viewing options for room price.
- felt “Leigh” at reception was charismatic, good laugh, liked the banter.
Everything!!! Location was absolutely amazing! The room overlooked the lagoon - we reckon it’s the best place to stay on the island! Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. We loved the refreshing pool and there was plenty of food options nearby if you wanted a change from the hotel. Bed super comfy and room cleaned daily.
The view of the lagoon from your bed even when it was rainy days absolutely beautiful. The best relaxing location great part of Rarotonga island for eats breakfasts (BVL)markets snorkelling kayaking safe swimming and absolutely stunning
The huts lights at night the look of the place had an romantic ambenice with tropical plants
Breakfast was a simple continental style but sufficient for a family. Overall condition of the hotel was clean and tidy for its age. A comfortable stay for families with young children, snorkeling is available just off the beach although very close to waves breaking, so there is a strong current. Overall good value for money.
The staff were incredible. So happy, smiling and very hospitable.
A cooked breakfast was available for free every morning.
I think we got the best room at the hotel and we loved the peace and quite.
I would honestly recommend this hotel to all my friends and family and we will definitely be back.
Convenience of the resort, just in front of what we would describe as the the best snorkeling spot we've found around the island. Also, next to Adventure Cook Islands, where we could rent bikes and complete our diving course. Estherlina, she was the best, thanks for the hard work.
Everything. We loved our trip to the Cook Islands, and staying at Avana Waterfront Apartments is a large part of why we had the best time. The location is central to all the must sees, and dos. The host is particularly lovely and accommodating. We can't wait to return!
On the beach with sea about 5 meters away at high tide (!) and best beach in Rarotonga.
Generously endowed with cooking utensils and condiments. Also lots of fresh fruit. Host supplied generous bonuses of fresh fish (Wahoo and Tuna) which were superb.
We have stayed in this type of accommodation all over the world except for Africa and South America and this unit was the best designed , best equipped and best built of any of them . Congratulations to you Diana and your father . John& Beverly
What an incredible stay!!!
Amazing staff that go the extra mile to make you feel special, beautiful well-appointed villa and hands down the best beach in Rarotonga. Nothing to fault at all!
Thank you, team Motu.
The hotel grounds were beautiful and landscaping was very nice. The beachfront location is excellent as the water is right at the resort's front steps. The staff and customer service were excellent.
it’s super clean and comfortable. with everything we needed. the owner is really nice and kind, helped us a lot. on top of that, the view outside is gorgeous
