Close proximity to river which was nice to cool off in. Great common area out back to sit and relax and meet new people. Close to some great restaurant options and tour companies. Owner was very friendly.

Great value hotel with comfortable room & bed for a short stay. Breakfast included is really good, with delicious juice and coffee too. Staff is also very warm and friendly, as you would expect from friendly Costa Ricans :) Location is a little bit further out from downtown but that didn’t bother us. It meant less traffic around the local neighbourhood which is mainly residential.

The cabins themselves are just beautiful!! Very clean and very comfortable with excellent washroom and air conditioning. The woodwork is really beautiful. The staff was very helpful and fun. The locals had a terrific family day in the pool.

The owner was one of the nicest people we’ve met in Central America so far. The kitchen is very modern and clean, he even has in air frier in there which I think might be the only air frier in whole Central America! The facilities are clean and there is water in the fridge which is safe to drink. He even drove us to the bus stop the next morning!! Very good value for what you’re paying.

We spent ages looking for somewhere to stay as we were dubious about shared bathrooms, having had some poor, previous experiences. However, we kept coming back to this place and the fantastic reviews eventually sold it to us. We need not have worried and could have saved a few hours needless search for anywhere else. The cleanliness is close to obsession. We really could not fault anything about how clean and well presented everything was. Cleaning carried on throughout the day and in to the evening. Shampoo and soap in the showers was very good. Toilet paper bucket is regularly emptied and smell was never even a thought. The room was a little small but it fitted us and our many bags no problem. The AC was excellent and much needed, as the outside humidity was very high. Extension lead attached to the wall provided extra sockets, that is always welcome. Parking was perfect! There is only room for 3 cars and our 2 bikes fitted in to one space with ease. Spaces can be reserved and it is recommended to do so. However, the street parking was safe enough for the hosts car, so no problem with yours (though we would not want to leave motorcycles on the road). Kitchen was extremely well equipped with coffee on-the-go in the mornings. For us Brits (we need our tea), there was a kettle, so boiling water was not a problem. Ample seating areas allow for groups to mingle or have their own space - your choice. Added bonus was the offer to do some laundry - probably because we appeared a sweaty blobs in grotty biking gear. They probably took pity on us (though I think this is normal service). Wifi is good.
