The monkeys in the tree every day! The people that worked there were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us and our baby. We loved the treats every day in the room too!

The beaches in Santa Teresa were beautiful and not too crowded. Playa Mal Pais was not as nice. Santa Teresa was a bit touristy for my taste, but the one restaurant that we went to was really good. It was called Lora Amarilla. It was at the end of the road to the beach. I highly recommend it.

It's beautiful. Relaxed and easy to be there.
It's beautiful. Relaxed and easy to be there. The beaches are pretty untouched. It's not just Mal Pais, it's the whole Santa Teresa area. Perhaps a bit overcooked with a lot of young people - but don't let that bother you, it's an awesome holiday.
Try Eat Street for delicous vegan bowls and not too bad wine. And if you are a pizza lover, then you must try Amicci. I'd say they are up there with the top Neopolitan style pizzas around the world.
The beach life is of course the main attraction. My partner surfs and I sunbathe on the beach. Best of both worlds if you ask me. My favourite beach in the area is Playa Hermosa which is more family oriented and quieter.

We only intended to stay in Mal Pais for 2 days then move to Santa Teresa, but we stayed for a week.
Super easy to get to the surf beaches (15 mins walk along beach or 5 min quad/bike)
Amazing ‘secret’ beach near fisherman’s village.
The most beautiful beaches ever, monkeys in trees, pelicans in the water, lizards on the rocks. Just beautiful!
In Mal Pais, when the ride is low, it creates amazing Little Rock pools to bathe in to watch the sunset!
Super chilled and close to all the surf and restaurants
This place felt so homely, with a big kitchen and lots of storage areas, it would be easy to stay here for an extended time! One afternoon we sat in the garden area outside our house watching howler monkeys in the trees above us, such a cool experience!! The hosts were so lovely, my boyfriend and Mike went surfing together one morning! A great place and would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Santa Teresa/ Mal País!!!
The surroundings were so relaxing and beautiful. Beautiful pool.
Getting to the hotel was such a great experience, the feeling of nature and calmness gets better the as you enter the property.
Lovely staff and management, all my questions were addressed efficiently.
Delicious breakfast, I really recommend getting it!

Accommodations
• We loved the simple, modern house/loft and all the lush grass
Everything was perfect! Clean, great location between Santa Teresa and Mal Pais, close to the beach (there is a very good restaurant across the hotel),friendly and helpful staff. I only stayed one night, but next time I’ll make sure I stay longer in this little corner of paradise.
The hotel has one of the best views I've had in a hotel balcony, you get an amazing sunset. The swimming pool also has an amazing view and is really nice and secluded. The kitchen facilities were really useful. The room was a good-sized room with a fridge and good air con.
The views, pool and bar of the hotel are amazing. Also the rooms are very charming with great view. You the breath the local "Pura Vida" vibe.
Also my credits to the owner and his team, they were very helpful and kind to all guests. It's like a family.
Very nice stay, water in the pool was warm and clean, the rooms were clean as well with comfortable beds.
The hotel is located moreless 50m from the main crossroad. The beach near by is beautiul and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend!
The hut was beautiful and had a great view. The breakfast was well made and the hosts were nice enough to help us with anything we needed. There is a small walkway across the hotel that leads to the beach, so you’ll have easy access.
Moana is a beautiful, lush jungle hotel, close to the beach with a delicious breakfast and a world class view. My room was comfortable, the wifi was great, and the location was quiet and secluded but close to amenities.
the house and the property is amazing, the decoration and style were beautiful.
you are 2 minutes from the beach of mal Pais (rocky with tile pools fulls of little creature where you can also dip yourself).
Romantic boutique property with amazing views, awesome staff, well appointed rooms, and an infinity edge pool to remember. Owner George and his hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.
Very nice hotel in a beautiful garden, nice well kept pool, lots of chill areas, good breakfast.
The rooms are really spacious and very stylish and modern
Staff was very helpful with anything we needed
Modern, spacious, new!
The location is close to the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa but in the quiet part closer to Mal Pais.
The host, Mike, is so helpful and friendly and offered a lot great tips!!
Amazing views, very close to Mal Pais and Santa Teresa town centres. The proximity to wildlife was also very nice- we often had a garrobo on our balcony. The large lock safe was very useful.
Modern, fresh, newly refurbished room - nicely decorated, convenient, roomy. Comfortable beds. Great view from the main terrace of the hotel. Friendly, easy-going owner.
