Really good twin room with bathroom available outside the room, shared with one more room. Kitchen was well equipped and had stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven. Staff contacted us promptly when we were running late to check in and organised our entry to the room, when we didn’t have service to contact. Overall great space for a couple of nights as we visited for a festival. Close to couple of bus stops and train station too.

Eschweiler is a small city on the outskirts of Aachen, which is approximately a 10-minute drive away on the highway. There isn't actually that much to do here, I would recommend this place mainly for sleeping, because it is orders of magnitude cheaper than Aachen, but you can very conveniently reach the Aachen city center by bus or by car. There are some good restaurants, though, we ate in an Italian restaurant called Pizzeria Schwan, which offered delicious pasta and pizza at a reasonable price.ZsuzsannaHungary - 8.0Scored 8.0

Nice quiet small town with a good variety of shops & cafes . A pedestrian car free shopping area too. Nice & clean & tidy. It is about a 15 minute walk from the main train station to the town centre & slightly less from the smaller branch line station (Eschweiler Talhof). Both have frequent trains to Aachen. The main station also has 1/2 hourly trains towards Aachen (terminating) & Koln, going on through to Dusseldorf or Seigen. ( see " Bahn.de" for timings). There also seems to be a good local bus service although I did not use this. Taxis are available from the main train station.

Staying in Eschweiler is a good alternative for the more expensive hotels in Aachen. As city there, Eschweiler doens't offer a lot. Also good to know that Eschweiler has an environment zone. So technically you need a green sticker to enter the city.KevinBelgium

The staff were really nice and helpful at reception. Also ladies who clean the room were extremely helpful and try to help however not knowing well English. The room was clean and everything enough for stay with minimum requirements. The shower, warm water and heating system was so efficient and working well. The neighborhood is safe, quiete and some shop and restaurant in nearby. Lot of parking space for who traveling by car and close to highway.

If you choose to pay in advance, you are able to take advantage of late check in and they will put your key in a safe box and you just check yourself in. Really easy. The beds were really comfortable and of a good size. Room and bathroom were spotless. Would definitely stop there again. The hotel also has parking which is free.
