Excellent hotel across the street from a park and right on the water. This is an amazing hotel. My room had a view of the water that couldn't be beat! My room was very comfortable and super clean. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a beautiful hotel to stay in, this is it. They had a place to lock up our bikes with a charging station for the people with electric bikes. The town had great restaurants and had great live music in the center of the village.I will be coming back to this place with my wife.

Awesome little medieval town at the lake!
Awesome little medieval town at the lake! Days and days of exploration: castle (oldest part of which is constructed in 6th century A.D.), palace, narrow streets, cute shops, promenade by the lake, quite a few good cafes/restaurants.
Ferries are going to Konstanz, various Swiss towns.

Meersburg is a wonderful historical town on Lake Constance, and it's easy to reach. It has a fantastic boardwalk with great restaurants and hotels. The upper and lower parts of the town are also full of lovely shops, hotels, restaurants and museums. If you're traveling in the lake region, it's well worth a visit.

Impressive medieval town but mostly full of shops, hotels,...
Impressive medieval town but mostly full of shops, hotels, restaurants, so it had an artificial quality. Great location for catching the many lake ferries.
The Hotel vum Schiff by the lake does fabulous food at a reasonable price, including imaginative vegetarian cooking.

We are not city people, and Meersburg was perfect for us!
We are not city people, and Meersburg was perfect for us! We stopped briefly in Konstanz and travelled to Friedrichshafen, and preferred Meersburg to them both. It was a beautiful town with plenty of options for food, drinks, and things to do. The Armeemuseum Restaurant was our favorite meal of the trip.

I would first observe what type of food is being brought out...
I would first observe what type of food is being brought out of the restaurants along the harbour first. Some German restaurant food on the harbour front is not good. While others, just next door to each other is excellent. We were dissatisfied and disappointed at eating at a few on the harbour while others we tried were excellent. Always give the other restaurants a try. You will be pleasantly surprised. We were. But do not be surprised if the servers do not care what you tell them. They know it’s a tourist trap and many will never return again. While other servers do have a conscience and do their best. Remember it’s not the servers who cook the food. It’s the cooks. When the food is good there is no problem, when not they are the ones who must always keep an upper lip and smile. If the food is bad, then ask to speak to the Chief or the head cook. If they know the food is not good, they will not come out to speak to you. The server will once again come to you and listen.
An absolutely fantastic location, just at the edge of the shopping street, directly on the promenade, with its own restaurant overlooking the lake. For the price, the hotel is incredible value. The rooms are very large for 1 person, extremely clean, well-furnished and have a large bathroom. Bikes can be stored in the inner courtyard which is quite safe (but exposed to the elements). The staff at check-in were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent as well. An incredible hotel for the price.
My family and I were staying at the hotel for several days, and it has been simply incredible. The rooms were beautiful, convenient and clean. Staff was exceptionally friendly, accommodating all our requests with a warm smile.
Breakfast is no less than perfect, with a huge variety of options. And, when something was missing they improved immediately.
In terms of location, it is ideal.
We all had a wonderful time there.
The location is absolutely amazing, the view from the top room shows the Bodensee and an adorable street where all the cafes and restaurants are. The place is perfectly decorated and designed to give a medieval vibe and it was very clean too. Breakfast was also one of the best we’ve had in a while, so good! We will be back, but longer next time!
great location and good sized rooms. the staff in the Annex guesthouse where we stayed were lovely. note that the Annex is across the road from the hotel but very easy to access. breakfast is in a different hotel but was outstanding and in no way an issue to stroll a minute down the road to access it.
The staff were great, and very willing to help -- when I went down to the restaurant to get a snack, one of the staff happily carried the tray up to my room. And when I had anxiety about parking in the narrow space (quite normal for Germany), the front desk staff came out and helped & encouraged me.
Breakfast was included, a full buffet of choices. Dinner was an optional buffet for 19,50 Euros. There's also a full bar in lobby. Very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is right in the middle of the historic section of town (walk to restaurants, shops, harbor, etc.).
Really very nice hotel with its awesome lake shore location. We occupied room 7 which faced the promonade overlooking lake Constance.
Clean, spacious, elegantly decorated and lovely furnished room with ample space, quietness, comfy bed nice ensuite bathroom.
Check-in/out efficient.
If you're planning a stay around Bodensee, Meersburg is the best choice, in my opinion. Just like this apartment. Situated in a calm neighbourhood, 10-15min walk to the old town, lake view, well maintained and equipped apartment, lovely owners and comfy beds! Definitely worth it.
Very close to Old Town. Once you figure out the two buses that take you across the lake via ferry when you want to cross to Konstanz, life is easy. Bus 700 and 7395 (?). Bus stop just a short block from the hotel. Great wineries right there is Meersburg. Great breakfast!
Excellent breakfast; quiet neighborhood; spacious room with chairs and a table, but a desk would have been great to have too. No elevator - no problem, but if so, ask for a room on the ground floor. The Meersburg lakefront is just too far to reach comfortably on foot.
The Hotel Löwen-Weinstube is located in old town Meersburg, close to all attractions. It's a beautiful historical building. Our good-sized room had comfi beds and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel has vouchers for a free parking.
We didn't find folks very welcoming. The room was spotless. We expected breakfast, not that basic for the price we paid for the room. Coffee was great though. The location is exceptional, we stayed in the middle of beautiful Meersburg.
Easy walking distance to Meersburg
Good WiFi
Good communication and directions from host
Keypad access rather than a key
Even though there was no kitchen, it was useful to have a coffee machine and kettle
Very cosy hotel close to the center of Meersburg. It is the owners who made our stay exceptional, they were very open and helpful, no matter the hour. Breakfast felt like a personal experience.
We loved the location. It was easy to find, and close to the main road, restaurants, a grocery store, and the sights of Meersburg. The breakfast was amazing also! Lots of choices.
