Nice friendly little hostal in a small village. Simply furnished, but clean and comfortable, with good wifi. The booking said no meal options, but dinner and breakfast are available as extras (just as well, as there's nothing else in the village). Very good value for money.

We like 'Campoo, for us it is a stop-over, there are wonderful driving roads, there is a fab square 5 mins from hotel, with bars galore. It is a working town, with some Roman leftovers. We do need to explore it more. The hotel do a good Menu del dia (meal of the day) for €15, 3 courses.

Picturesque town with plenty of bars and restaurants. beautiful architecture and the surrounding scenery is fantastic. Very pleasant town to walk around. We have stayed here 3 times now on the way to Santander and will certainly visit again.

    Good value, clean and comfortable.

Good value, clean and comfortable. Secure parking for motorcycles behind a locked gate though it costs extra and could be full. Simple breakfast choice but adequate. No restaurant but 5 minutes from the town square and bars and restaurants. Rooms clean and comfortable. Shower is good but the ceiling rose can spray outside the cubicle. Recommended

We loved the modern decor and the rooms were immaculately clean and the bed was big and comfy. However, Room 111 is at the back of the hotel near the air con units which were noisy and disturbed our sleep.

A great option for those travelling north or south through Spain - near the ferry (and good for the Tesla Superchargers if that matters to you!) charming building, with a garden and a decent restaurant. Some good nearby walks

Really nice room and very clean. Pleasant staff. We stayed Sunday night so the adjoining cafeteria only served a limited menu. But, luckily, they did serve alcohol. Great service by the older member of staff in the cafe (no disrespect intended - I’m probably older than him!) Great location if you fancy a walk up to the castle ruins where you’ll find great views of the surrounding area. The things I didn’t like are a bit picky. No problem in recommending this hotel.

A lovely character old building which has been modernised very tastefully. Despite being cold the room had very efficient central heating so we were lovely and warm. We were travelling with our dog and she was made very welcome The restaurant food was very good traditional cuisine. The hotel staff were very sympathetic to my husband’s coeliac requirements both for dinner and breakfast - Thankyou

I spent 2 separate nights in this hotel, reasonably priced and centrally placed just outside the attractive old town. Both were clean and comfortable, with good wifi. The first had a view towards a section of the city walls, the second had no view to speak of. Spanish-style breakfast included. Had good reasonably-priced meal both times, 1 lunch and 1 dinner.

Usually we choose more traditional hotels but modern was very stylish and we liked the decor. It is an easy walk into town where there are a number of good places to eat. The hotel does have its own restaurant but we did try it in the evening. Breakfast was very good with buffet service where there was a lot of choice.

The hotel is joined to the monastery which is beautiful with lovely gardens to relax in. Restaurant was very good and good value. We stayed in the Annex to the hotel , which was basic , but clean. No air conditioning and a bit uncomfortable in the recent high temperatures .Fans would have helped. Free parking.

Large room (and equally large bathroom) in new hotel on the S edge of the old town, just a short walk from the main square. Spotless, comfortable, good wifi. Good breakfast included. Good value for money for this standard of accommodation.

A unique hotel, lots of history, in a really nice Spanish town. The dinner was a three course meal with all the house wine I wanted, in a really nice setting, the best I had in my two week holiday.
