Almansa castle is an impressive sight and worth a visit for the views and/or the history on the self guided tour. A visit by night is also worth it! I caught a wonderful sunset over Almansa from there. Jardine de los reyes catolicos is a beutiful park worth visiting too, with a buzzing evening life but lovely and quiet during the siesta if you want a peaceful time.Noel - 8.0Scored 8.0

We were only in Almansa overnight but arrived in time to enjoy a walk around the town. The history of the Battle of Almansa was unknown to us and was most interesting. It is also an ideal place to stop, not far off an autopista, to break a journey.

Food (and wine) at the hotel restaurant were also exceptional, with plenty of vegetarian options. The staff was happy to convert some dishes to vegan as well.
