The hotel is a bit different, but one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Spain. It has an individual aesthetic and is not straight forward to get to as the road is unmade in places and quite rough. However it is worth the effort getting there as the place is so peaceful, relaxing and comfortable. The views are incredible and the couple that run it are very friendly and helpful. The meals are exceptional!
Barbacedo is located in the Tiétar Valley town of Mijares, just outside the Sierra de Gredos Nature Reserve. It offers a seasonal outdoor pool and country-style rooms with a flat-screen TV.

Thought the location was excellent, the natural settings were beautiful. The access to the water and the views were fantastic! The houses were simple, but clean. Everything about it was picturesque. It felt like a privilege to be allowed to be there.
The overall service from the staff was great. The food in the restaurant was very good as well. I also liked the fact it was formally the school of the town, not your typical hotel format. Parking in front of hotel and beds were comfortable as well.
