The decor of the reception area was unique, with local artifacts and taxidermy on display. I especially liked the blunderbus.
All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The food was first class.

The location was magical--in the woods--isolated, but close to other restaurants and shops and hiking scenery. The room was on a higher floor with good views, as requested. The grounds were well maintained. And the breakfast was excellent--all I had to do was ask, and I received! Very enjoyable and relaxing. The decor of the hotel is absolutely beautifully artistic--a reason I look for this type of hotel (with character and thoughtful attention to detail).
