Very beautiful area, friendly hosts, everything was spotlessly clean, and the room was decent. The rooms are themed, which is good for a laugh. Sadly it was raining when we were there, but it seems there are plenty of nice things to go and see in the area.
Their gin & tonic special is an absolute winner.

The garden and view are everything! The place is clean, well maintained, close to town, well equipped. We loved it. The kids slept on the sofa bed which was big and comfy. It's about 1 kilometer to a very beautiful beach.

Impressive Hotel if a little stark in architecture. Well appointed entrance in marble which caused large sound amplification from children at first communion parties, easy access to hotel parking, need to have parking as street parking at a premium. Just short walk from Sardinero beach. Room was very well appointed if not the largest but all worked very well, clean and comfortable with fridge and small coffee machine. Good size bathroom with shower. Breakfast was really good with large selection from cereals through to fresh fruit all alin between. Good transport links into the centre of Santander.
Hotel Chiqui offers great views of the Cantabrian Sea and El Sardinero Beach. Set by the sea and just 3 km from Santander Ferry Terminal, it features an infintiy pool overlooking the surroundings.

Checked in early which was helpful. The room was very sparse but had everything we needed.
Galizano is a village really. You could walk from the hotel to the beach if fit but there is free parking very near the beach. The beach is usually quiet in the morning. There is a small supermarket open for limited hours in the village. Excellent bakery in the village near the Hotel Vijanera.
The beach is very nice - the parking really helps and it is quite accessible as there is a paved path down to the beach and it is not very steep. There are toilets at the beach and there was a beach bar which was really lovely but I guess only open in the busiest periods and certainly not when the weather isn't so good. We really recommend the burgers and cocktails at the beach bar.
My photo could really confuse people! When the tide is right out this is what it looks like but it can also come right into the bay. There are lifeguards on the beach from 11am to 7pm in summer.

Ideal location just outside Santander easy to catch ferry...
Ideal location just outside Santander easy to catch ferry into city.
Supermarkets were adequate, the two restaurants we tried to get into one refused because there were ten of us, the second catered for us brilliantly
Clean, comfortable room in friendly hotel in centre of village. Quiet. Good wifi. Bath.
I had a ground-floor room, and noise and scratching at the window in the morning turned out to be a cat, most indignant that the window was closed. I didn't open it, as I was afraid it might be the sort of cat that curls up in the bed and refuses to move!
We enjoyed the rural environment, quiet and fresh air. The room was large, with a nice sitting area and large bathroom with bath, shower and bidet. The gardens surrounding were lush, tranquil and with some seating. The breakfasts were self-choose from an extensive menu. The beach de Galizano was family friendly, easy to reach and good parking.
Standard 3-star hotel room with big bed. Everything clean. Good wifi. Very good restaurant that is not cheap but reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Helpful receptionist/restaurant manager who spoke good English. Surprisingly quiet hotel room given the very busy restaurant.
Everything was perfect, very nice staff, great views, beautifully decorated rural hotel, breakfast was prepared and served very well, the location is just perfect to visit Cantabria. Very quiet place.
The hotel has a lot of charm with all its stone walls and lights at night.
The room was clean and we had a small balcony.
The best was obviously the hot tub with the small light changing colors
The Staff was so nice, the rooms where so clean and comfortable, we really enjoyed are stay definitely coming back, one more thing the restaurant of the hotel is a must delicious food.
Great staff - very friendly and helpful!
Great location- close to two lovely beaches and the bar/restaurant at the hotel is great in the afternoon sun!
Rooms were very clean
