On top of the Santa Catalina hill, this 18th-century castle has been beautifully renovated keeping its huge stone walls and many historical features to make for an authentic stay in Jaén.

The room was big and had everything as per description. The people there went out of their way to help. May I express my thanks here.

You need to be fit and active to get about the hilly setting of the city.
Obviously traffic is heavy but a good portion of the streets are pedestrianised.
Street beggars and graffiti are common place as in most cities.
History, religion, olive oil and panoramic views are plentiful.
Spanish language skills need to good.

Interesting part of Andalucía often overlooked.
Interesting part of Andalucía often overlooked. It has a cathedral and Arab bath ruins. The town is hilly. There is a castle on a nearby hill, but you will need a taxi to go there. One thing about Jaen that you do not find elsewhere in Andalucía is that impatient drivers lay on their horns. Jaen is very hilly so take your time and rest as needed. The sites and architecture at the top of the city is amazing.

Jaen is worth a visit, a beautiful view from the castle, a cosy old town, good food and friendly people!
The castle has an interesting history, and the Cathedral is a must while exploring the old town! Do not forget to taste the local food - it opens new experiences to you!!
And if you enjoy shopping -all that you need you can find both in a huge mall Ingles and in small cosy local shops! The olive oil is sure the best in Jaen as it is all surrounded by huge fields of olive trees!

The room was terribly hot, a true nightnare, I didn’t sleep at all. The 2 rooms were sold with airco, but they weren’t working. In the morning the reception staff couldn’t care less that I hadn’t slept at all. I felt terrible, nobody was sorry, apologized or could understand the fact that I complained about having bought a room with airco to find that they didn’t put it on.
I have never seen such a bad attutide of reception staff.
I will never go back.

Jaen is a very classy town and at the same time with a young heart.
The views to the mountains that surround the town , the cathedral, the arab baths, the history museum and ,not the last, the many Michelin restaurants are enough reasons to plan a visit.
Everything! Step into the foyer and be impressed ... with the glass fronted lifts, with the ornate cupola illuminating the interior, with the comfortable and elegant seating areas, with the discreet, professional, yet friendly and obliging service from every member of staff. Our room was not a disappointment either, well appointed, comfortable and clean.
There was secure parking available, but a very kind lady vacated her parking space at the side of the hotel and we parked there on the street for free.
The hosts Maria and Antonio took great care that we could arrive at the property (in the centre of Jaen with narrow streets like all old towns in Spain), keeping in touch with us during our drive there. The location enabled us to walk around easily to the main attractions. The hosts also gave good recommendations for nearby places to eat out in. The property was equipped with everything including coffee, ample detergent for the washing machine. The hosts provided a surprise with a local delicacy.
I had an excellent stay at the apartment at Bernabé Soriano 2. The host was very accommodating, and the facilities were top-notch. The location was just perfect, and the hospitality was outstanding.
I sincerely thank the host for the possibility of late check-in and regular communication.
Staying in these apartments in the heart of Jaen, everything you require will be within easy reach: sightseeing, restaurants, taxis, and stores.
great location in the old town. the owner was super nice and gave me suggestions of where to eat breakfast and what beer I needed to try while in Jaén. very clean and comfortable flat with all the necessary amenities. lots of info about tourism in surrounding towns available, but I was just there for one night to go to the extranjería so I didn’t follow up on it. I would absolutely stay here again someday
Perfectly located for us as we visited Jaén, Baéza and Úbeda on a road trip through Spain. Situated just off the highway, beautifully landscaped with a breathtaking view of the mountains if your room faces south. Easy to find with GPS. Hotel and rooms are modern, beds comfy and shower amazing. Many choices at breakfast buffet. Loved everything about this hotel.
Great quality beds for a comfortable sleep, quiet room due to being well insulated even if near a busy motorway.
Very tasty breakfast, well worth every cent as you have a wide choice, something I didn't find in other 4 star hotels.
Bar which also serves food so you can avoid driving to Jaen city if you arrive later.
The staff were also friendly.
Very well equipped appartment near everything in Jaen. Complete kitchen but many restaurants cafes and tapas bars nearby so you don’t need to cook! Spacious light and airy. Big comfortable bed with good linen and towels. Communication with Javi was quick and efficient. Parking a huge plus. Fabulous place to spend a couple of days. Dog friendly.
This is a great flat in a perfect location in Jaén. The car parking space is a really useful bonus (it's 100m up the road in a large underground garage). The flat was warm, the main bed comfortable (we didn't try either of the single-bedrooms). The shower worked fine. There is a kitchen and a dining area with table and chairs.
We had a very nice stay at Jaen.
The flat is lovely, very modern, very comfortable and very well appointed. It is only a 3mn walk to the cathedral and restaurants/bars.
Car park is only 5 mn walk from flat and available for a small fee.
The San Francisco Market is 5mn walk and has an amazing range of local products.
The hotel's location is amazing, just on top of a hill with incredible views over Jaen. You have the feeling to be part of Andalucias history since the building reminded us more of a castle than a hotel. The breakfast was super delicious as well and was held in a huge medieval dining hall. Highly recommended.
Fantastic apartment, in a really quiet, clean block. Very spacious, excellent location close to the old town. Host was friendly and helpful. The welcoming bottle of cava was much appreciated.
Jaen is a very relaxed town with plenty of quiet places to sit, day or night.
Loved the traditional apartment with modernised decor in the heart of Jaen. Great facilities, including washing machine and clothes line. Very helpful host with suggestions for food and places to visit. Spacious and quiet apartment.
Good convenient location
Clean nice rooms with 2 bathrooms, kitchen & dining table.
Fantastic views of Jaen and the Cathedral.
Air conditioning is available.
Very helpful and responsive property owners
The location in the centre of Jaen with a car park nearby. The rooms were light and spacious. Dog friendly with sound proof rooms, and a park opposite for walks. There was a good breakfast choice.
The hotel is well located in the center. The room was spacious, had a nice view and the WiFi seemed to be more secure than what exists in most hotels these days.
This hotel has a good location, near the old center of the city and the beautiful kathedraal .
The rooms are just fine, but the breakfast is very simpel.
