Linda and Carlos were our warm & welcoming hosts to their quaint cortijo. The accommodation was sympathetic to the rustic Andalusian landscape of Almeria. Nestled in a peaceful corner just off the main road. Spotlessly clean. Compact for a couple. Comfortable bed (memory foam) and lovely shower in the beautifully tiled en suite. There was a small balcony with chairs to sit and soak up the Andalusian sun 🌞 and stunning mountain terrain. There are a few stairs to climb leading up to the accommodation, which could be an issue for some. The air con was great, especially as it was very hot weather. Breakfast included and was truly delicious. Fresh bread, delicious ham, and yummy fresh omelette, alongside fresh naranja zumo (fresh orange) and cafe con leche. 😋 our hosts were kind, accommodating, helpful, and friendly. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, guys. We loved it ❤️

Breakfast was amazing, Anita was very attentive and didn’t mind us changing and swapping so long as we gave her notice-sometimes on WhatsApp lol as we were out and about so much. She was so attentive that we had a good breakfast to set us on our travels. It was a fantastic base to explore the area. Bed was sooooooo comfy! TV had everything we needed if having a lazy evening. Peaceful, quiet location which we loved. Couple of bars walkable so not too remote.
Beautiful sunrise(only discovered on morning we left lol) pictures of apartment and pool and Cati’s bar we walked to down the rambla.

We had an amazing stay at Lavender Lodge and this was down to the wonderful hospitality shown to us by Wag the owner. We were made to feel at home straight from the start with a very much my home is your home feel and nothing was too much trouble even down to the telephone calls we had to make to estate agents and solicitors as my phone was not connecting. The garden and terrace are very pretty with a good sized pool and plenty of sunbeds to catch the sun but also shade if needed. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
