Helpful and friendly staff. Secure parking for a motorcycle and good outdoor leisure area to enjoy a drink. Very short walk to the central restaurant and cafe area, but the hotel also has it's own restaurant.

There is really nothing special about Ales. There are much more scenic and historically interesting cities in this area. I stayed for two nights in order to visit the wine country south of the city. I think next time I'll stay in Arles instead.

Ales is a vibrant little town which has grown where others have diminished! There are many places around to visit. Les Jardins de la Fontaine is a little oasis right in the centre of town. When you close the gate you could be in the country, quite delightful, a few minutes walk from the bustling centre with bars and restaurants.

First impression was of an unpretentious but pleasant enough town. The river (Gard d'Ales?) is one of many which flow south from the Cevennes. This one is small compared with some of them, but you can see from the flood-defences that it sometimes swells massively. Ales would be a good base for exploring the southern and eastern Cevennes.
Newly remodeled rooms. Feels like a new hotel when in the room but has the style of an older place outside. we took the breakfast included option which is a great value for what is offered. freshly made omelet or scrambled eggs. Nespresso coffee. plus it was served in the wine cellar (due to bad weather) which was quite special.
great location across from train station and next to center.
great service. We could store our bicycles in a meeting room.
The hotel was centrally located on a large plaza with restaurants and shops nearby. The train and bus station were within easy walking distance. Staff were friendly and allowed us to store our luggage and also to check-in somewhat early. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was bountiful. This hotel far exceeded my expectations and was well worth the cost.

This is a modest hotel and the room price reflects this. It is slightly off centre and we were able to park our car close by without difficulty. The train station is close by.
