The setting was exceptional, in acres of grassland and woodland. The staff were friendly and accommodating, arranging for an early breakfast so that I could travel on. Room facilities were clean, a small kitchen available close by. Extremely quiet, away from the road.

We have stayed there a few times before because of a convenient location and a good restaurant. The location is still good, but the restaurant was closed. There is little positive to say. What was a nice place to stay en route to and from our house down south has been transformed into a place we certainly won't be going back to.
