We were quite positively surprised by the hotel’s simply magnificemt estate. It all started with the very first impression, the warm welcome we received from the recepcionist. Our rooms were perfect and decorated with real taste. The estate is at short foot walking distance to one of the most charming villages we ever visited. We will come back one day, for sure!

We were made to feel very welcome by Yannick, who was v helpful about sites to see and things to do. The room was sweet, well looked after and comfortable, as was the bed, with a nice shower room. Lovely to have a little terrace outside too. We were here in March, and bet it would be great to use the pool in the summer! That's the downside of visiting out of season.

Cotignac is a beautiful village and this apartment is ideally placed for all that it offers being only a short walk from the Main Street with its bars, restaurants and shops. Jonny was a great host, very helpful with a slight equipment problem and very friendly and helpful - particularly with helping to carry our luggage up the four flights of stairs! Speaking of which beware of the stairs if you have mobility problems as they are steep, twisting and unevenly sized. Good exercise though! The apartment is lovely and well equipped and the balcony of the bedroom is great. It gets lots of sun at various angles throughout the day and there’s an awning to roll out for shade as needed. No parking directly outside but plenty within a five minute walk and you can pull up outside to unload luggage or shopping. Lots of great restaurants in the village (we particularly liked Picotte Provence) and bars with a great atmosphere. Loads of places to visit locally and lots more a little bit further including the coast.

Cotignac is a gem in the back country.
Cotignac is a gem in the back country. Close to many interesting places, the village itself is captivating. From walking the Main Street Cours Gambetta to venturing up the cliff faces to see the troglodyte caves, there is so much to do. One of the highlights was the sacred trinity church on the top of the hill. But the best part about the town was the delightful restaurants and staff. A wonderful place.

It was well worth the steep climb to visit the ancient caves, as it afforded a fantastic view of the whole valley.
Cotignac was a real little gem, strolling through the town browsing the small boutiques & stopping to watch the men play pétanque in the early evenings.
While we were there (July 14) the had a village Pasta party with dancing afterwards. Pretty much the whole village turned out.
The food was delicious. Breakfast and dinner was included in the rate. We could only eat dinner at the restaurant one night and he made sure not to charge us for the other night. Staff was very friendly.
The location was very close to town! The rooms were very pretty and nicely decorated and air conditioned! (Not many places in Cotignac are airconditioned so that was great!) Free parking.
This property is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful retreat - we loved every part of it from the outdoor patio to the pool to the thoughtfully decorated rooms. We were warmly greeted by Brigitte who served us wine and snacks on the patio upon our check in. We wish we could have stayed more than one night, and would absolutely recommend to anyone who’s staying in the Cotignac area!
Delicious breakfast, friendly and kind hosts. Tranquil location within walking distance from the downtown area of Cotignac, where there are restaurants and bars you can enjoy. Less than an hours’ drive to Gorges du Verdon.
Clean and comfortable rooms. We had everything we needed. There is also a nice outdoor area that is especially wonderful at night when the cliffs are lit up.
Catherine et Pascal sont les hôtes fantastique!
It is a beautiful place with fantastic views. Really quiet but close to the centre of Cotignac.
The accommodation is really lovely - spacious and with lots of thoughtful things such as a kettle and outdoor seating area.
Breakfast really authentic and fresh.
Would love to go back soon!
Thanks the amiable Sylviane who created such a nice experience for us to stay in this lovely and quiet house. The house is very big with kitchen, toilet and living room. We would like to thank Sylviane for recommending the restaurant and cafes for our dinner and breakfast. Without Sylviane we won't have a nice time in cotignac.
The town of Cotignac which is lively with all its picturesque narrow streets. The Wednesday market .
The Rocks and the views as you climb up and investigate all the small streets.
The restaurants especially " le temps qui passe " on place de la mairie.
The politeness of all people whether shopkeepers or passing by people.
A beautiful place in a beautiful region of France! We really enjoyed the big garden, the room was also quite spacious and beautifully decorated. Our host Laurence was very kind and friendly and she prepares a very tasty breakfast :) It is a place where you can really relax - peaceful and beautiful.
There is so much to like about this place:
The breakfasts are delicious and generous.
The room is beautiful - so is the pool - both have gorgeous views of the wine valley below and mountains beyond.
Walking distance to Cotignac, but quietly nestled in the hills with no noise from the town.
The house had everything you would need and is in a beautiful location. The views of Cotignac were amazing. The pool had the sun all day with plenty of umbrellas if you needed shade. Francoise responded promptly to messages. A beautiful villa and we would definitely return.
The overall ambience, privacy and luxury combined with a beautiful breakfast, caring hosts who speak perfect English and a stunning pool. Across the road from a top restaurant and good access into the lovely village of Cotignac. Excellent value.
The property was located a 10 minute walk into Cotignac. Our room was spotless and so comfortable, and we had use of the gorgeous swimming pool. Christine, our host, was fantastic - so kind and considerate and made lovely breakfasts for us.
Le Petit Hameau is located within 5 minutes drive from downtown Cotignac, where you will find several nice restaurants, bars and a lovely patisserie. It is approx 20 to 30 minutes drive to other places like Moustiers and Gorge du Verdon
the location was ideal for exploring Cotignac , right in the centre of the village , the kitchen is well equipped with a large selection of glasses and cooking / eating items -2nd photo attached is the view from the window
The room was very clean, very comfortable, and the owner Christine was amazing. She went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Cotignac or Côte de provence.
Such an amazing place close to Cotignac. perfect to chill down and embrace the tranquility of this cute village. Everything was splendid from the hosts to the breakfast and pool area. we would definitely come back!
Nice view from bedroom, very nice breakfast eating area outside. Friendly service and helpful with local Cotignac information. Drinks, snack , coffee etc out of the breakfast period was good.
Beautiful place in a quiet area outside of Cotignac. The hosts were very welcoming and nice, the rooms are clean and modern. Very peaceful and calm. Highly recommend.
I think the best available option for visiting the village ! Very comfortable and clean bed with a spacious bathroom! A newly renovated hotel in a great location !
