This is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff are professional and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, and with nice views. Dogs are allowed in the rooms but not restaurants, so we had room service. There is electric car charging and it’s an hour from the Eurotunnel, which is convenient.

A convenient place close to the English Channel for a stopover. Also close to the battle fields of World War One for those wanting to visit that area. The hotel, La Chatreuse du Val Esprit offers a range of good restaurants for residents and non-residents. Close to the motorway but not too close.

There were plenty of parking spaces in the hotel grounds. The lobby bar was very stylish and comfortable for relaxation with friends. This is a beautiful building and gardens. Great choice of 3 restaurants but very disappointed that the one we chose did not have available the two main courses which had made us choose it. 80% of the guests were English and the staff spoke excellent English without a fuss. We have been to this hotel a few times over 25 years, it has changed a bit but never fails to impress.

Our room was amazing value for money, massive room clean and tidy with a large en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The WC was separate. Very comfy bed with fresh sheets and towels and a well stocked mini bar. I have already booked again for our next trip in a couple of weeks.
