We booked this hotel very late in the evening as our ‘maison de vacancies’ was so terrible, we refused to stay there! So we literally searched in desperation for any available room which allows dogs! We didn’t need anything fancy, but unlike the maison de vacances, there were no spiders, dead flies, months worth of dust, ivy growing through the window frames into the inside of the property or worst of all the incredibly strong damp/mould smell. This hotel was immaculately clean, nice decor - nothing fancy, but just tasteful. The staff were friendly. A simple but nice continental breakfast in the morning. We were visiting the area on a photography trip. Unfortunately we could only stay here for the first night of our 3 night trip as they were fully booked - but we’re grateful we could book at such short notice, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return if we’re in the area again - high chance we will be one day!
This ibis hotel has views of Granville’s marina and is located 100 metres from the ferry terminal providing access to the Anglo-Norman Isles of Jersey, Guernsey and Serck.

The room was gorgeous. Very comfortable bed and sofa. Clean bathroom. Very close to the city centre. In general, we were very satisfied and enjoyed staying there
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Granville this weekend is R$ 741 or, for a 4-star hotel, R$ 851. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Granville for this weekend cost on average around R$ 3,352 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Granville is a village that is alive. No tourist city like Saint Malo or Etretat.
People live and work there - this gives the chance to experience the real Normandy. You can find exeptional food, and throughout friendly people.

I have visited Granville on many occasions over the last few decades.
There is quiet a lot to do/see.There is the Christian Dior museum to visit.
On this occasion I did not eat in any establishment,as I was taking part in the twinning games & we were catered for by the organisers.
Everything is virtually within walking distance. There is a bus service.

Great atmosphere with lots going on.
Great atmosphere with lots going on.
Should have had covered seating!! it was over 30, and very hot in the Sun.
Unfortunately we got to the Budget Ibis out of town at gone 12 midnight,
hot and sweaty after a full day in over 30 degrees, only to find in our room the rubbish bin full, used mugs on the sink and NO TOWELS.
The next morning there were no Busses to town!! and the receptionist could not find a Taxi to take us to town?

Granville lived up to its reputation as ‘the Monaco of the North’. Underrated in my view. Really pretty, plenty of shops, restaurants, history and stunning sea views and walks. Was a great location to visit Mont St Michel from too and easy to get to and from the Cherbourg ferryport.

The port is lovely, and unfortunately we didn't spend more than a night there but they have good restaurants in the port area with stunning views. We chose to stay there on the way between the Honfleur/Corseulles-sur-Mer and le Mont Saint-Michel, but could easily have taken an extra day there.

Good atmosphere. nice to sit at a bar at 5 0' clock nand watch the world pass by.
Ate at "Le Ponton" and twice at the "Restaurant du Port"
Both restaurants excellent food, ambience and good value.
We loved our stay at Frederic's house. We couldn't have asked for a better place while visiting Granville. The property is a beautiful historic building right in the centre of Granville, with shops and cafes at your doorstep. Our room was big and comfortable. Frederic and his wife are incredibly welcoming, not to mention the delicious breakfast they prepared for us during our stay.
I can not recommend La Maison des Matignon enough. We loved it, and it made our holiday even more memorable.
Merci!

The apartment is lovely, nicely decorated, in an ok condition for a budget accommodation. Bright bedroom with two windows facing the street. It is located in the centre within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Not far from a big free parking. Two good supermarkets in the neighbourhood. Pleasant walk to the old town centre, local beach and villa of Christian Dior.
We stayed two nights in this bed & breakfast type hotel, run by a lovely, elderly French and only French-speaking couple. The location in the narrow streets of Granville’s ancient quarter is charming and even offers a fair chance of finding a nearby free parking lot in the street. Our room offered all simple necessities.
lovely old town charm. quiet. charming breakfast room. great bar nearby. most of all the owner was a star. he collected us from the train station and booked restaurants for us - we always had the best table! he really was exceptional
The location was good as you could walk to town and harbour. Parking of car was difficult at times as public car park was full and no No.20 parking place at apartments. We found it very difficult to find the property.
Duplex rooms were nice and spacious, airco in both sections of the room and a balcony, which we always like. Location of the hotel is perfect, with a hotelprivate door to the beach, very nice.
I liked the cosy atmosphere, and the charming building. I really liked the breakfast facilities. Small, but everything you need. It seems like a familyrun hotel. The staff was very friendly.
The rooms were clean and spacious enough for us. They had everything we needed. The location was close to downtown with a car and there was a nice parking lot available for free as well.
Location is great, in the middle of Granville, close to everything - downtown, bars, restaurants and shops, the sea. Rooms are large enough, bathrooms also, beds are comfortable.
This is a ‘chain’ hotel situated next to the marina but within a short walk to town centre. The facilities were good and there is an excellent restaurant overlooking the marina.
The hotel is in a great location with very friendly staff and gorgeous food. The rooms were basic but had very comfortable beds. Will definitely stay again.
