Owners are super nice. Best kitchen we've ever seen in a Rb'b !! Also the bathroom upstairs is beautiful ( very high quality renovation ). We stayed 1 night ( on New Year's eve ..) but the surroundings were calm, no street noise....We really appreciated the attention to details and the overall feel of the place, with many antique furniture....

It was clean bright and spacious, the apartment facilities were excellent. The hosts were kind, friendly and super helpful even driving us to the supermarket to make sure we had supplies for our stay. We loved the swimming pool and the location is beautiful, so quiet - we all slept really well. Thank you to Delphine and her family for looking after us.
Montmorillion itself is beautiful and quaint. Slightly quiet yet attractive and friendly . Parking is free and easy .
It needs more restaurants to be more lively.
Its a hidden treasure but sad that so many shops seem closed .
The views over the bridge and from the old church are exquisite. Definitely worth a visit . Everyone is friendly and warm . Great location. Great town. I was as outside the town but easy to drive to . Food is very good but lacks choice . A good restaurant near the river is a must. Book in advance it's busy. Menu is small but good . Staff excellent

We have loved Montmorillon for 18 years and always came back, apart from COVID times! It’s a beautiful medieval city, there is a wonderful tea room right next to the river, fantastic location and beautiful rooms. The lady who runs the tea room, Kim is excellent always welcomes people and is the best dressed owner anywhere in France. You must visit her tea room next to the old bridge.

Montmorillon had a few shops, bars and restaurants in it.
Montmorillon had a few shops, bars and restaurants in it. It had a beautiful bridge with a chateaux next to it, as you went over the bridge And up the hill by foot, there was a lovely pub that had a band playing outside in a square where people sat watching them, it was very pretty. Some ships we not re opened from the lockdown yet but enough for us to get food.
Parking was good but it was a quiet evening.

Beautiful historic buildings.
Fabulous river - stand on the bridge and watch the brown trout.
Wide variety of eateries - the whole range including an Indian restaurant.
Not just for tourists - a proper town.
Very good Tourist Info
Plenty of supermarkets if you're self catering

Lovely French town, dripping with typically historic and fabulous architecture. Lots of links to literary and book making history dotted around. Some amazing places to eat - would recommend Le Roman des Saveurs if you like good quality food and ambling over your meal...overlooks the bridge and river so lovely spot too.

Amazing atmosphere, must of been a end of school break up for Summer. Pablo's fantastic food, lucky to find as other restaurants busy.
Only struggle curves very high I've never driven in Europe before.
Yes I had a map, very pretty town. Sadly I was going to a competition for weekend so didn't have time to walk the river or see more sights.
The hotel was average , the staff were okay and that is about as good as it gets. The room was tired but adequate, it needed a lot of attention . Hole s in wall to side of window and where the toilet holder had been moved . I found the room extremely noisy due to traffic and the fan system did not cool the room down enough . I had to close the windows to block out the noise of traffic. One of the side tables was broken off and not there , it just needs more maintenance and someone to follow up to make sure it is done for guests.
The location is excellent for Montmorillon, but the best thing about this hotel is the restaurant LUCULLUS
The food is the best in France I have ever had anywhere and the bonus for me is that they have always done a vegetarian set menu, which is unusual for France. We have eaten in this restaurant every year for 18 years, many times a year, sadly for us it will be the last time, because we sold our house and it was our very last evening in Montmorillon, but we are so glad we stayed here, it made leaving easier somehow!
Lovely room and a very warm welcome over a cup of tea with our hosts Richard and Yvonne at the end of our 10 day stay in France. Secure parking at the back of the house meant we didn't have to unload cases and bikes. The house is an easy stroll into the centre of pretty Montmorillon and the restaurant recommended by our hosts was excellent. Breakfast was superb in the beautifully decorated guest breakfast room.
You couldn’t find a more perfect place to stay in Montmorillon! The location is in the central part and walking distance to the church, the square and all of the little shops in the medieval part of town. This bnb is an oasis complete with a walled garden, yummy breakfast and best of all, warm and generous hosts Marie & Roger. We will definitely be staying here again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Richard and Yvonne. They recommended a Vietnamese restaurant in town and Richard took me in the car and picked me up as it was raining. How lovely! The room was huge and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom was wonderful with a great shower. I will be returning as I do come to Montmorillon frequently.

A very nice welcome by Mary. Lovely refurbished old property with a delightful garden with a swimming pool. Comfortable room with view of Montmorillon. Generous breakfast with a lovely pot of English Breakfast tea.
Very comfy, well prepared and cosy. Minutes from Montmorillon with decent restaurants and fabulous heritage to explore locally.
Lovely building and a peaceful setting.
Best place in montmorillon, friendly easy, great communication, super nice place. I will come back here every time.
Close to everything in the downtown area.
Wonderful host, beautiful room, nice dining room for breakfast. Very quiet and comfortable. Nice to hear the Gartempe river, and close to Montmorillon.
