Dominique was extremely helpful, agreeing to postpone my stay by a night because of the weather. I could leave my bicycle safely under cover in the courtyard. Comfortable room. Adequate French breakfast. Hotel nicely decorated.

Very helpful receptionist. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Secure parking very useful but limited availability.
Set on the banks of the Loire River, the Mercure Nevers Pont de Loire enjoys a privileged location opposite the city centre with easy access from the A77 motorway.

Location, secure parking, terrace overlooking the river was nice.
Located in Nevers, opposite Espace Bernadette Soubirous, Hotel Beausejour is just a 5-minute walk from the train station, 850 metres from the town centre, cathedral and the Ducal Palace.
On average, 3-star hotels in Nevers cost £78 per night, and 4-star hotels in Nevers are £108 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Nevers can on average be found for £40 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
It is quite a beautiful town.
The view from Loire is nice if weather is quite impressive.
Similar impression to on bridges of Carcassonne or Mantova in Italy.
However in the same time a boring town if St Bernadette is not there. Difficult to find a place to eat.
The only place easy for someone comes from modern lifestyle is L'AGRICOLE near Cathedral.

Nevers feels like a genuinely small French city along the Loire river, with some history (the Burgundy Dukes had their family residence here), a very old central city area (it was a walled city, dates from the Middle Ages) and some lovely surprises like Cafe Velo, a delicious creperie and a first class aquatic center. Well worth the 2-hour train ride from Paris -- and probably beautiful in spring/summer!

Nevers is a large town with an historic centre.
Nevers is a large town with an historic centre. It is a busy hub for trains. There are some excellent walks along the river from the town centre. As large commercial hub there are a number of large hyper markets and all the typical shops associated with them , and also a very large new shopping centre at Marty a satellite town nearby.

Your tourist office is doing a great job.
Your tourist office is doing a great job. I wrote a few months back and they mailed me Nevers information to our home in the USA. the brochure / map that they supplied is one of the best in all of France. Clearly tells you what the site is all about and clearly shows you were it is.

This is a charming town with an ancient cathedral and surrounding buildings in the old town with narrow lanes and formal gardens running down to the Loire. Beautiful big houses surround the town centre. The people are relaxed and friendly and there are several street cafes/restaurants to eat at. The town is much bigger so there are supermarkets and other shops and facilities too. Great place to stopover on a journey.

Beautiful old town with many historic buildings - but a bit sleepy in August with some restaurants and businesses closed. Good for wandering round and eating in pavement cafes. Fabulous patisserie, displayed like jewellery!
Great location just across the bridge from the town centre with plenty of restaurants easily accessible. There is a beach 200 metres away where you can paddle and have a drink and during our stay there was entertainment on. Lovely place for a 1 or 2 night stay. Sebastian was a very friendly and hospitable host. Very pleasant stay with free parking at the hotel at the back of the gite. Would stay again.
Excellent location for us to access nearby parking and restaurants, but also to visit historical sites. This hotel provides basic accommodation at a sensible price. The room was small but had every convenience eg air con, blinds, storage and good bathroom (good shower fluffy towels clean facilities. We were passing through on our way south and it provided just what we needed
The place was wonderful, the staff at reception ware so friendly nice and helpful. The room was what you could call basic but exceptionally clean, warm and very well maintained. Would recommend this place to anyone. Do not expect a 5 star Hotel, breakfast is basic but ok. I have traveled on pilgrimage many times and this is very hard to better any ware.
Easy parking, just in front of the hotel. Come around 5 pm to secure a parking spot. Lots of restaurants and sightseeings, walkable around the hotel. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Very clean and tidy. We communicate through google translate, since I cannot speak French. Very glad we can borrow an electric kettle and mugs. Thank you.
Excellent hosts. We stayed two nights and received a fresh set of towels after the first night. Air conditioned room, comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, secure storage for our bicycles. 15 to 20 min walk to the center of Nevers. Very pleasant conversations with our hosts even though our French is relatively poor.
Bed: comfortable king size bed, cleaned every day.
Breakfast: good, as you would expect from a 4* Accor hotel.
Location: A+ next to city center, ample parking space either infront or below (secured).
Only some of the staff speak English, but staff would try to at least get the basics.
Everything. Hugo and his family were extremely helpful. It was like staying with a relative
The set up of the bathroom and bedroom were excellent. Very comfortable
Design of the hotel was beautiful. An old barn converted to a delightful hotel
Worth going to never just to stay here
Spacious room and a very big and modern bathroom. Despite the cold rainy weathers the rooms in the chateau were properly heated. We very much liked the castle atmosphere in mostly authentic state. Breakfast was excellent in comparison with most french breakfasts.
Location was great with a lovely walk through the park to Nevers centre. The coach and train station were also only a short walk away.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating (it does help if you can speak French but they also speak English).
The dinner was exceptional! The bedroom was extremely spacious with a really comfortable bed.
Beautiful grounds and extremely quiet but only 10 minutes from central Nevers by car. Very, very relaxing. Incredible value for money.
Great location, minutes from the very heart of Nevers. lovely decor and immaculately clean.great video intro.Everything one could need ,in a tranquil ,quiet street. Will definitely come back. thanks.
It's part of a retirement home, made into a hotel. This makes it a bit weird, but none the less, the apartment was nice and comfortable. Downtown is quite close and there is a large parking on-site.
This a very well run B&B in a lovely old house overlooking a park. The room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was very good and overall the standard was that of a small luxury hotel
