From the welcoming staff to the comfortable rooms, the beautiful smells and colours of the grounds and artwork, delicious food, the first class spa facilities and treatment, to the wonderful views. I loved everything about Domaine du Mas De Pierre.

The landscape that opens up and sounds of nature while sitting on the balcony are fabulous. The vibe is perfect. At least, when the hotel is half empty like during my stay. It’s something I highly recommend to enjoy. I wish I had time to spend here one more night.
The standard rooms are not very spacious for 2 persons, however, the balcony compensates that inconvenience.
Very delicious French breakfast.
The hotel is easily reachable by public bus from both Vence and Nice.
This typically Provencal hotel is set 3 km from the village of Saint Paul de Vence and offers an outdoor swimming pool. Guests are invited to relax on the terrace in the hotel's citrus garden.

Hotel Les Messugues is a rare find. I can only describe as idyllic. In a rural setting, away from the busy, bustling town of St Paul de Vence, this jewel of a hotel was everything and more. The first thing we noticed was how friendly everyone was….a big smile and greeting at every encounter. The room …we had the studio.. was lovely with a kitchenette and a small back garden. It was cleaned daily and the beds were comfortable- a real home from home. Breakfasts were delicious. We didn’t eat lunch, as we went out, but the dinner menu didn’t disappoint, the courgette flower tempura with a home made herb mayonnaise was a highlight! We spent time sunning ourselves at the lovely pool, plenty of sun beds and big, clean, fluffy white towels. The local taxi driver Stefan ferried us to the town and back, he does tours too. The honesty bar by the pool meant we could sip Rose wine as we lounged.

The setting was absolutely gorgeous- very peaceful and 5 minutes drive from St Paul de Vence. I was attending a party for the weekend so I did not hire a car but I would say it is essential to have a car unless you are just here for the weekend and don’t plan going anywhere else. We had two amazing formal dinners and casual lunches - the food was delicious and service excellent.

Location was fabulous - right in the centre of the town. Nice large bedroom and bathroom area, with separate sitting room, with lovely views over the surrounding area. Some of the staff were really lovely and friendly. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was good.

St Paul is a beautiful hilltop medieval town 20 minutes from Nice airport. You do need a car to get here, although obviously buses are available.
I would say it is a great location for a short to medium stay – four days was perfect! If you do end up going here book a table at the colombe D’or restaurant – it is one of my favourite places in the world, but be warned and book as soon as you can, as you will not get a table if you just turn up! I have been here several times before, and so booked it about 10 weeks before I left London! This may not be the case in the winter of course! Ignore the TripAdvisor reviews – I think I must’ve gone to completely different restaurant😂. The service is fantastic, the waiters do speak English and in my opinion, the food is not overpriced although of course it is expensive as everything is in the south of France in fairly touristy places, which St Paul is! I live in London, so frankly anywhere is cheap by comparison! Do go to this restaurant famous for its paintings given by artists. After lunch have a good mooch around the pretty streets - you will find many sweet shops selling very expensive biscuits and sweets but the owners are very happy for you to look😊

The host told so many lies about my stay. She knew I didn’t have a car and I asked for only one trip to buy my groceries but she didn’t want this. There weren’t any taxis and that’s why the local took me home.I did notify the host.My plane was late which I explained to her. This is so wrong she gives this explanation.

Really lovely place to visit but you only need two to three days there to see everything. Lovely art galleries and shops. The best place to eat was Le Tilleul run by Maxine and his team. Fabulous food and really great service ! Avoid the Colomb D'Or restaurant - overpriced and very basic food. A basket of raw unpeeled vegetables in a basket with a tiny tiny bowl of pate for €40 ! Go and see Atelier Tanagra - lovely artwork, and her recommendation for the Craquelin from Patisserie Palanque in nearby Vence has to be followed.

St Paul is a beautiful historic village, full of art galleries & quirky shops selling lovely local produce. It's an ideal place to spend a day just wandering the cobbled streets & relaxing with a cold drink to admire the views of the countryside. Non slip shoes are a must as the narrow streets can be slippery.

We stayed nearby but visited the town every day or evening.
We stayed nearby but visited the town every day or evening. A charming place with extraordinary views. Several good restaurants. cosy atmosphere with folks playing boules at the Place de General de Gaulle. Walking around was easy, however I recommend good walking shoes (the pavements were centuries old and naturally uneven)

The owners went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was quite good and because we like hardboiled eggs instead of soft, Les made sure he cooked us eggs every morning and brought them to us. So nice!
The pool is exceptional with shade and sun. Many guests, including us, spent afternoons by the pool soaking up the Mediterranean sun. Our room had a large balcony facing the pool.
You have to have a car to get to St Psul and restaurants. We would recommend this hotel.
This lovely hotel is located in the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence and blends into the surrounding landscape.
living room, bedroom, kitchen and washroom bathroom was spacious and I was able to spend it slowly.
In addition, wine and other beverages and cheese、ham in the refrigerator
It was a free and thoughtful service.
Thank you for Luc's bright and kind response. Traveling to the parking lot by car will require a small car or good driving skills as it passes through fairly tight space.
This is a beautiful and quiet location with stunning views. The pool was lovely and had an outside dining area and comfortable loungers. The accommodation was spotless and the bathroom was spacious and well equipped. We were welcomed warmly by the hosts who provided a delicious continental breakfast on request and were helpful with local advice. Very close to the stunning village of Saint Paul de Vence. A great stop-over to explore this lovely area.
We enjoyed a lot staying in this apartment. The interior design and every single detail was perfect and we really felt like home there. Also, thanks for host to welcome us quite late in the evening and helping us with the AC. Location of the apartment is also good- just 10 min walk from Saint-Paul-de-Vence and easy to drive everywhere around French Riviera.
Both Pasquale and Yves were extremely welcoming in every way. They answered every question we had for our stay and destinations in the area. The breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. The room was well appointed, comfortable and homey. Definitely 5 stars for Le Mas de Chanoine! Merci beaucoup Pasquale et Yves!
The location, and the help with parking by the hotel staff. If you have a car, it's not far from Nice old town, there is plenty of parking garages you can pick from on a day trip. There's also a nice modern shopping centre nearby if you need it. The rooms were spacious with beautiful views of the surrounding area.
Absolutely the best thing was the view from the Apartment which is stunning, breath taking.
Appreciated the 4 coffee pods that were complimentary. Milk and a few other essentials would have been helpful.
The location was good - right in the centre of the town. Saint Paul de Vence is so beautiful.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was so nice! A short walk from the town of St Paul de Vence with many restaurants. There was never too many people at the pool, and the staff was always available to bring us drinks there or in our rooms. Can't wait to come back next year!!!
We loved every single thing about Le Hameau. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is charming, comfortable and the grounds are beautifully kept. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. And you cannot beat the location!
Beautiful and quiet hotel near St Paul de Vence. The rooms were spacious, very clean with a comfortable bed. The pool area was lovely and a great spot to relax in nature. We had the continental breakfast and all products offered were fresh. We recommend this hotel!
The pool area is a secluded piece of paradise and the staff were fantastic, made to feel very welcome. Romeo on reception went above and beyond to help us, including dropping us off and collecting from Saint Paul de Vence. Would return in a heartbeat.
My room was quiet and comfortable and had a nice balcony with views of St.Paul de Vence. The hotel has a very nice pool and dining room for breakfast. Conveniently located to St. Paul de Vence.
Nothing not to like. Wonderful hotel within walking distance to Saint Paul
