The location was serene and the castle and grounds were absolutely beautiful. The owner and staff were lovely and we added night because our tween boys liked this place so much! We hope to come back again for a longer visit!

Very helpful hostess. Nothing was too much trouble. Moved her own car in the street to give us a parking space. Lovely old property furnished throughout with antiques. Comfortable large bed with ensuite bathroom with a shower. Secluded garden to sit in and very peaceful.
Absolutely amazing breakfast. Home-made cakes and jam, cheese, ham, fresh fruit salad, and even offered a fried egg!
Highly recommended.

well, it was an experience! and we were super happy that we did it! We thought it might be cold at night, but actually it was comfortable! the only thing was high humidity, but it's a part of the experience. otherwise - a lovely view from the "entrance terrace", and unique memories!

We like Vouvray wines and went specifically to buy at Boutet-Saulnier, a Vinyard very near Les Bidaudires. To be recommended.
Also liked the restaurant along the river bank, Chez Joseph, and pizzeria in Vouvray village.
Also revisited Le Clos Luce, da Vinci’s home for.short time. Great.

This town is a little gem in the Loire Valley.
This town is a little gem in the Loire Valley. There are wineries to visit and little shops & such in the small town center. The church is also lovely. We enjoyed staying in this town as our home base to explore the whole area. The wine is the best!
The troglodyte is cool... both literally and figuratively. It was 105 (40 degrees celsius) during our two days in Vouvray and yet our lovely troglodyte room stayed relative cool. The breakfast was good and the host (Eliza I think) was lovely, warm and helpful. We really liked the fact that the hosts had a lovely garden and liked their garden with labels for the plants (Mathieu the owner and half of the host party does a lovely job with the gardens).
The owner came to meet us; lovely warm welcome. The 'Java' bedroom, bathroom and additional outdoor space were just perfect; comfortable, quiet and homely; not like a hotel. Breakfast in the owner's kitchen with log fire burning was delicious; almost everything homemade - yogurt & stewed fruit, brioche, butter and jams; croissant. Parking. A perfect start before a long journey home. We'd definitely book again. Thank you, Florence.
Staying at the Chateau was a real treat! It has been beautifully restored and is such a welcome departure from the same old hotels that have nothing terribly special about them. Staying at the Chateau, one really feels like a guest of the Chateau owner. Helen was a wonderful hostess. We really enjoyed visiting with the animals behind the Chateau as well! This is a special place and I only wish we could have stayed longer.
beautiful chateau with beautiful bedrooms. the breakfast was top quality and as much as you wanted to eat. secure parking, chilled environment, and we didn’t even use the pools or tennis court. The animals grazing the back area were a joy to see in the morning and there was bird song everywhere. I should have bought some of the chateau Vouvray wines, but ran out if time. We will return.
Probably the greatest stay you can ask for your holiday! The owners are so nice and will go the extra mile to help you and give the best service possible. Everything is very pretty and clean, you can relax to the fullest. The location is great as well, close to Tours and lots of castles to visit. And don’t forget to try their delicious Vouvray wine. We can’t wait to go back sometime!
The hosts were very accommodating with advice about nearby attractions and restaurants. The room was phenomenal, we had everything we needed, it was cozy, private and beautiful. The location was very central to the chateaux we went to see. We loved that it was a small quiet town but close enough to the bigger cities of Tours and Amboise to give you the best of both worlds.
Le Gaimont was the highlight of our stays our on trip through France. Eliza herself was as charming as her property - very solicitous and accommodating, showed us our rooms and even booked us at a really great restaurant in Amboise. The breakfast was perfect - from the food to the company to the setting. We'd come back to Vouvray again just to get to stay at Le Gaimont.
The hosts were wonderful! They updated this property beautifully and went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were met. Truly the best breakfasts we had during our trip to France. We also enjoyed a wine tasting as the property is also a working winery. Great location for visiting local chateaus. Would definitely stay here again!
We liked the location. Vouvray is an interesting place and we walked easily to a restaurant. The room was a good size and quite warm. Don't know why the bathroom towel rail didn't work though! We were pleased to have chairs and bedside lights too. The bed was very comfortable
Our group of 10 absolutely loved our stay at Le Gaimont in Vouvray. Mathieu and his family are so warm and welcoming. The entire grounds and house are so beautiful. Their attention to detail, amazing. Breakfast was delicious. You will absolutely love your stay!!
Great location against the mountain with small wine cave. Nice view across the valley from terrace in front of the house. Great walking paths and wine tasting in Vouvray and the area around.
Great location. An old building with comfort. Susan was very nice.
Breakfast was made of local food and the jams were so good.
You must try at local restaurant a glass of Vouvray.
The room was impeccable as was the home made breakfast we enjoyed in the garden. Very close to the Cave du Vouvray. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!
Mathieu & Elisa went over and above to make sure our stay in the absolutely stunning Le Gaimont Maison d'Hôtes Vouvray was exceptional both for me and my partner.
Great place. Beautiful troglodyte cave extremely well renovated. Clean and Modern.
Breakfast was exactly what I wanted.
5min by foot to the center of Vouvray.
Quiet location not far from Vouvray itself. Good exchange with the owner on departure about our comments. Nice restaurant within walking distance of the gite.
