Set in a converted bakery, this hotel has an on-site bar which serves real cask ales and features a working mill wheel and oak beams.

Comfortable beds, decent choice of drinks and a varied menu and reasonably quiet during the night given it is on a main road. Staff were accommodating.

Staff were excellent; bed was especially comfortable
In the heart of the National Forest, The Post House is a 30-minute drive from historic Leicester. A 4-star family-run guest house, it has a pretty garden and individually styled rooms with free Wi-Fi....

Owners were lovely. Gave us recommendations for local restaurants.
Room was more comfortable and larger than one we had two nights before in London - which had cost more than double this per night.
Outstanding evening meal and breakfast! Very friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble for them and everything was always done with a smile! The rooms were very clean and up to standard! Very Spacious! The beds are super comfortable also.

I requested a ground floor room as my wife walks with the aid of crutches and was given a brand new disabled room with personal parking. Had to change date of stay but had no internet at holiday cottage to contact Booking.com, no problem to your staff.
Extremely impressed.
Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderfully clean room and excellent food options in the restaurant.
We used the hotel as it was only ten minutes away for an event at Statfold Barn Railway the next day.
Easy to get to as not far from the M42 and also very close to Twycross Zoo!
Would thoroughly recommend this location and would definitely stay again!

Appleby Magna is the perfect place to stay, so close to so many attractions. The hotel is easy to find, staff are very friendly, rooms very clean, bed very comfy. Food portion size big and very very tasty. Have recommended to family and friends, will certainly stay here again.

It was the closest accommodation we could find for a festival weekend. We did not do anything other than sleep and eat breakfast at Appleby Magna itself but the environment looked quaint and not far from historic places of interest.

Not impressed.
Not impressed. Isn't hard to keep it looking good and clean if you have cleaners. Honestly won't be going back.
Pillows like concrete and the mattress way too hard
Dirty in many places
We wasn't sure about ordering breakfast but in the morning we clearly saw a few breakfast plates with all the best bits left. .shame as its in a very good spot and could be so much better without much effort.
This small hotel/restaurant is a little gem , just 1 mile off the A42 at A444 junction. With friendly , courteous Staff . I had a spacious , immaculately clean room with a shower cubicle which is large enough to move around in and a very comfortable bed.
The restaurant is very popular serving a varied menu of freshly cooked food in generous portions at prices which are more favourable than those found in tourist hot spots. I do not hesitate in recommeding it.
We wanted a quick overnight stop after a long trip from the ferry in Holyhead. We were looking for nothing special and we got it. They accommodate a late check-in which was great, and staff at reception and bar were efficient and friendly. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was par for the course. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. It's not what I'd call a destination hotel, but for 2 weary travellers it was fine.
Room was large, clean and comfortable. Parking was very close to room. Food was fantastic. The dining staff helped me put together a birthday party for my husband - even driving to the store to pick up cakes. They were fantastic. 2nd time we stayed at the Appleby and it will be our only destination hotel anytime we visit my husband’s home!
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, the food quality was very high and the size of the rooms were surprisingly very big. For the price of the booking I was expecting the size of a small chain hotel room. Instead we had very large rooms which were more suite sized than room sized. We have already booked our return stay for next year.
Breakfast - Good selection of foods both cooked and cold, table service.
Dinner - Excellent choice of hot and cold foods well served in pleasant surroundings. Recommend booking as does get busy.
Room - Clean, well decorated and all facilities provided. Loads of free parking, off road.
The location for our visit ideal. The staff were friendly (although when complained in the restaurant they were not happy) but reception staff and breakfast staff very helpful.the rooms were large. Breakfast on the second day tasty. Dinner in the restaurant very good value for money.
The atmosphere of the hotel was very welcoming.
Breakfast was good with a very good choice which was all cooked fresh for you.
We had dinner in the restaurant which was very nice and a lovely selection of dishes to choose from.
The hotel was central for so many tourist attractions. The room was lovely and big, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a great choice and was delicious. We also ate evening meal which was delicious and good value
My room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable indeed. The breakfast was filling and the hotel's location is very quiet, so it's a good place to stay if you want a peaceful time.
