Loved this hotel! Couldn't fault anything! The staff were lovely, it's in a beautiful setting, it has a bar and a very good restaurant, breakfast was good and we had a great meal in the restaurant too. It's spacious, we had a deluxe room and it was large, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast in the conservatory or restaurant looking out over the garden was very pleasant. I would definitely go here again. It's not far to Lyndhurst or Ashurst, and you are in the New Forest and can walk in it from the garden.
Bartley Lodge is an elegant Grade II listed building surrounded by 8 acres of grounds. Meals in its AA Rosette-awarded restaurant are created using local produce.

Beautiful building with an old-fashioned feel. Yet extremely comfortable and welcoming.
In a quiet, rural location, the The Pilgrim Inn consists of 2 beautiful thatched buildings; one housing the cosy bar and restaurant, while the other contains stylish and luxurious boutique rooms.

The staff were excellent in being professional, friendly and helpful. We had one outstanding problem which the manager, Pedro, sorted out himself. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my wife, who had been injured. Emily was especially helpful. The food was very good.
Ideally situated in the New Forest, close to the small town of Lyndhurst, this friendly hotel is set back from the road and offers quality accommodation at affordable prices.

Bartley is a lovely peaceful place set in the new forest...
Bartley is a lovely peaceful place set in the new forest with horses and cows that can roam free and to see deers and there fawns if you are lucky a local shop and post office we ate in the Haywaire The food wasn't great so I wouldn't recommend it close to lyndhurst shops and Bartley is great to walk around and to explore and take in the breath taken views
The rooms are really spacious and we had a balcony where we could sit outside, I had a four poster bed - love the room, so comfortable like a home from home. The walk from the back of the hotel leads to the main forest and we saw poinies and deer and heard lots of birds - the forest was blisffuly quiet as it is in a more obscure area- really loved this place.
Excellent location for exploring the New Forest. Lovely independent hotel with a nice room with everything you need. Very dog friendly. Room included dog towel abs blanket for use (and return) and dog biscuit. Dogs allowed in 2 of the 3 dining areas and even dog cushions provided.
Breakfast good quality and tasty and service good.
The hotel is in a nice setting and has potential. Room was Ok although my mothers room was very cold (the word she used was "arctic"). When we asked about the heating which only came on at 8am (seems very late) she was offered a small electric heater. I also heard other guests mention their heating was not on in their room.
A group of 9 of us had a lovely weekend stay here for the weekend. The rooms were bright and spacious with comfy beds, the gardens were fun to explore, and we really enjoyed the more homely atmosphere of a smaller hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome!
Very friendly staff who were happy to help and offer their services. Lovely back garden, walking out into the New Forest. Great location for starting our cycling adventure.
We didn't have a dog with us, but the hotel is dog friendly with dog treats and beds available.
The staff were exceptional
They were good humoured and efficient
They dealt with a difficult customer with charm and patience
A great hotel to go to if you have a dog
Love it because it's a dog friendly hotel. Vegan breakfast was superb. Love hearing the owls at night in the woods. Doorstep walking straight into the New Forest
