Lovely beer garden and play area for children. Rooms were a nice size, and welcoming. large shower head and food was lovely. Side entrance to the bedrooms when the pub was closed. Lovely original feature beams. Large selection of meals and snacks on the menu. Allowed dogs to stay which is important for us when we travel and there was only an extra £10 charge for the dog. Rooms were soundproof which was nice because you had no interruption from people moving around or talking in other rooms.

We felt very welcomed by the staff. As we were staying overnight for our friend’s funeral, nothing was too much trouble and we were looked after so well. Great accommodation, evening meal and a wholesome breakfast the next morning. Thank you.

Stay here quite frequently and the room is ideal for us, excellent kitchenette. Special mention for the cleaner who always has the room spotless. good pub food but restraunt is very popular so consider booking.
Very small village with only one general store. Pub wasn't open or the public toilets. Visited the Post Office for general tourist information - was no use at all! Good bus network to Lydney and Coleford.
