Bourne is a small place but plenty of facilities.
Bourne is a small place but plenty of facilities. Stamford is only just down the road and has everything you could wish for. So, you can have a busy day shopping and siteseeing in Stamford and return to the tranquility of Bourne for a quiet night and a good sleep. Smithys is good for eating and there are several nice pubs in easy walking distance. Even the Wetherspoons has friendly staff

I grew up in Bourne and was only revisiting to attend a family funeral. The surrounding countryside to the north and west is however lovely and Stamford, where I was born, is a beautiful town to visit.

We have been coming to Bourne for many years to visit family. We are always made to feel welcome, would not hesitate to recommend Bourne for anyone to spend time in and use as a base to visit surrounding countryside.

Bourne is a beautiful little village set in wonderful countryside. Perfect for a quiet break or country walks. We only visited the actual town once since we spent our actual stay in Toft and Northorpe so cannot comment on other attractions/activities available. Our focus is always the countryside and it really is a lovely area for walks, birdwatching, butterflies and other flora and fauna.MSUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Unfortunately on this occasion we didnt have any choice but to choose a hotel (as it saved him 10 hours of travelling) however after he came back from here he made a point of mentioning how much he enjoyed the experience. All good and no bad points. 5 mins travel from our location, friendly people, good breakfast, nice comfy decor.
