The lovely little pods were a calming and cosy place to stay. The bathrooms are spacious and were kept really clean and warm, so was the Snug cottage. You have to be prepared to walk outside your little hut whenever you need something so some easy to put on shoes are a good idea.
The owners are really nice and helpful whenever you need something. You can really see the care and thought they put it the accommodation. Overall it was an incredibly good value for the money and we would 100% recommend it.

Helen & Kevin you rock as hosts! In addition to the exceptional location itself we enjoyed our stay from A to Z. Rooms are super cozy and well equipped. Breakfast has lots of variety, is prepared with love and is super delicious!
And the tips what to do during the day and in the evening were fantastic!
We will definetly book again when being around!
Gulabin Lodge nestles beneath the mighty Ben Gulabin in the south of the Cairngorms National Park. The property offers stunning views of the glen and surrounding mountains.
Lovely village with interesting shops,. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Farquharsons which we rated as the best meaL of our holiday and there was a good lively atmosphere in the bar/restaurant, with friendly staff. Easy access to countryside rides.

Braemar is in Royal Deeside.
Braemar is in Royal Deeside. It is a small, picturesque village loved by walkers and tourists alike. Rightly proud of its history and royal connections.. it has lots to offer. It is the gateway to the Cairngorms, quaint local gift shops and lovely restaurants and bars. You can choose then to take the scenic route over the hills to Perth via Glenshee ( take a tour of the local gin distillery at Persie ) or take the coast road via Ballater, Aboyne and Banchory to the city of Aberdeen. We certainly enjoyed our visit and plan to return next year.

Clean, friendly with plenty of eateries and pubs.
Clean, friendly with plenty of eateries and pubs.
Best food and pub for me was Moorfield House Hotel. A little tucked away but worth the effort.
Loads of walking from local strolls to mammoth Munro hikes.
The countryside and wildlife is fantastic.
It was a lovely cottage with full of character and personal touches. Jennifer was a very kind and attentive host who made sure we were comfortable and felt at home. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit being prepared every morning and a choice of three breakfasts. We enjoyed spending time in the living room where there were plenty of games and books were provided by our host. The property itself is walking distance to pubs, restaurants and cafes in the village. We've had a fantastic time and would love to return.
The cabins are comfortably furnished and the facilities are all very well kept and we had no problems during our stay.
I actually felt that the pictures on Booking.com don't quite do the Cabins justice!
The staff (specifically Malcolm) have been very helpful and accommodating and flexible to our needs which we were very grateful for.
This is a wonderful location and ideal for ski trips or even just a walking trip, Braemar is beautiful and all the local conveniences are very close by to this property.
I loved the location and the view. Sarah gave us a very warm welcome and a flask of fresh milk for our tea and coffee, she also had freshly baked chocolate brownies for us in our room. No evening meal so we went out to the Braemar lodge hotel and ate like kings. Had a great nights sleep and a fantastic breakfast with a view of the hills. This is a place we would come back to.
Loved the lodge, everything we needed for our stay. Spacious and comfortable, the pics on booking.com don't do it justice! Perfect location for skiing at Glenshee. Braemar is a cute little town within a couple of minutes with a variety of stores. Hosts really helpful if we had any questions.
The location was ideal, just on the outstirts of Braemar, very quiet but easy walking distance of town centre.
The facilities were good, comfortable and very clean.
The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, perfect for the morning after watching England beat Germany.
Location was superb - right in the middle of Braemar and all its amenities. We didn't have to get in the car again for 2 days as there were so many wonderful places to explore on foot and on 2 wheels. Stunning scenery and so much history.
friendly welcoming host, catered to my fiancé and myself very well. surroundings were clean and tidy. location was walking distance to nearby walks and the town centre. will definitely stay again when we next travel to Braemar
Everything was great, owner and his son run this hotel on their own and they really are great and generous people! All the other stuff is great as well and are there for you the whole stay. Just perfect, really!
Sadly 24 hours after we left, this lovey hotel burned to the ground.
Further comments would be pointless.
Best wishes and good luck to the owner Malcom and his family.
