The location was pretty and not far from the main road or the Welsh Botanical Garden.
The hosts could not have been more helpful or welcoming.
The room was scrupulously clean and the bed really comfortable.
Our dinner was delicious and far better than expected in a country inn. The menu was modern and the food cooked whilst we watched.

Do yourself a favour and stay here! Original old building that’s been tastefully updated - great bathroom with lovely products, comfy couch and bed, garden view, good lighting, connectivity and plenty of good coffee/tea etc. Hosts friendly and helpful. Restaurant downstairs is delightful and served best food we’ve had in UK. Lovely countryside, good pub just down the road. Best place we’ve stayed. Loved it. 😊

The room was excellent.but has my husband had a bad knee we were on the top floor and was a bit of a struggle with our suitcase.carvery was great and plenty of it . We found the tea and coffe to be warm and not nice and hot like it should be. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly and welcoming. It is right in the heart of the town so walked everywhere .it was a great stay .

The hotel room was lovely and clean a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t have more helpful. We had a dog with us and he was spoiled rotten with a plate of treats in the pet friendly bar and a cooked sausage for his breakfast. We couldn’t fault how welcome we were made after a long trip from Scotland and a lovely meal in the bar area which welcomed dogs 😊

We have stayed here several times and it has never dissapointed. The hotel is very clean and the staff welcoming. It is in a very pretty area with lots of attractions nearby. They also have the best selection of alcohol free beers I have ever found.

The village is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and hills, with well-maintained routes for walkers and off-road cyclists. The community shop is excellent and open surprisingly long hours, while the local pub does excellent food, as do many other pubs in the area. Although in a very rural area, Brechfa makes an excellent touring base by car, with many attractions within half an hour including historic houses, a gold mine, museums and steam railways. The seaside is about 45 minutes away.

Beautiful, rural, peaceful countryside.
Beautiful, rural, peaceful countryside. Rolling green everywhere: dark green forests, green Welsh mountains, lush green fields, wild flowers and hedges framing the roads. Very few people about and even better, very few cars on the roads - tranquil. A really good location to be based at in order to travel to Cardigan, Gowr Peninsula, Llansteffan, Pembrokeshire and so many more locations. We went to Dinefwry National Trust nearby and that was worth a visit! Llansteffan is not far at all and if you walk along the beach, head up the cliff side steps and walk along the coastal path then you’ll find the most beautiful views on the way to the next beach which is gorgeous!
Everything was amazing, great place to relax and enjoy a stunning location. Paul and Mel make you feel so welcome, with very high standards throughout the hotel. They and their wonderful staff bring a personable warmth to your stay with an attention to you and your needs. Top quality local produce and ingredients are expertly transformed into delicious dining. Looking forward to a return visit
A lovely small hotel, beautifully decorated and appointed. Beginning supper in the lounge with canapés so that we met the other guests was a stroke of genius. The food was good and the service friendly and efficient. It was lovely to watch the birds in the garden during breakfast.
A repeat visit. As before; the reception, service , facilities and food were of the highest quality. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending this hotel highly. Overall, a joy to stay in such a friendly well run establishment.
Friendly yet professional staff, beautiful hotel with great facilities in a lovely peaceful area. Excellent breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Would 100% stay again, thank you for a fabulous stay.
