Our stay at Black Mountain Break was absolutely outstanding. Spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Every little detail was thought of; the breakfast hamper (which even catered to vegetarian dietary requirements) was exceptional, and the extra little touches such as a bottle of prosecco in the fridge and a birthday bunting for my partners birthday really did make our stay! I had excellent communication with Caitlin throughout; she was super helpful, and the welcome back the week before arrival was so useful. I also sent Caitlin some balloons for my partners birthday ahead of our stay, and she kindly decorated the accommodation with these upon our arrival. All in all I would highly recommend anyone staying here, it was completely faultless! So comfortable, luxurious, accessible to all local amenities, nic little walk around the corner to the castle too, which was an ace little bonus for us.
Despite our short visit, we enjoyed strolling along the Wye...
Despite our short visit, we enjoyed strolling along the Wye Valley footpath on the Saturday evening, climbed the Pen y fan, criss crossed bits of the Brecon Beacon National Park on foot and by car on Sunday and returned home on the Monday. Staying at Llangoed Hall was perfect, it was tranquil, secluded and quiet. You're surrounded by beautiful countryside and wander their lovely gardens.
The hotel is set in the most beautiful, peaceful valley bordering the Brecon Beacons. It it a fabulous country house with a wonderful collection of art. It is comfortable and luxurious but relaxed and welcoming. The staff were lovely and were doing their utmost to make your stay perfect. The rooms were tastefully decorated and beds were extremely comfortable . It was spotlessly clean .
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The location is spectacularly beautiful! The breakfast selections were varied from continental to cooked and there were choices at dinner which were all elegant. My husband enjoyed walking the grounds and the interior was filled with paintings and interesting artifacts. It was a pleasant hotel in the countryside!
Beautiful location. Great house. Great room. Hotel seemed almost empty so lacked some atmosphere. Skeleton staff in evening meant we had to go searching for reception, drink, etc. Those we found were lovely. Garden not as manicured as we expected. Feel you maybe are missing a trick; but not put finger on why. We v much enjoyed our stay though.
Very convenient parking outside the hotel. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, and the room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Our family came to the Inn to join us for an evening meal which everyone enjoyed, great atmosphere and fabulous food. The breakfasts were excellent too! Many thanks for such an enjoyable stay.
The hotel has great charm as a country house and is full of fascinating art works. A stroll around the corrdors enjoying them all will take an hour or so. It is also in a very beautiful area and a short walk out the back takes you to the banks of the River Wye. Dinner was excellent and the staff full of good humour.
Taken at face value this is one of the most attractive country hotels in the UK. It has been carefully crafted with exquisite attention to detail, incorporating many personal elements from the Hall's family history. It is in a beautiful setting, has an ideal location, and the food was simply superb.
Everything was perfect. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the hotel is brilliant and there seems to be a great community spirit .
The evening meal choice was good and the ribs were amazing . We would definitely come here again .
The Hotel itself has many excellent features and attention to detail. It genuinely feels like an old fashioned country house with updated facilities. Really good food but...
The room was beautiful, and I particularly liked bathroom. The whole hotel was very quiet and very relaxing as if we were visiting someone's house. Thank you
Delightful situation. Hotel was very quiet at night so we slept very well. Nice big room with lovely views. Staff pleasant Some of the food was exceptional.
