As soon as we approached the hotel we were utterly blown away by the beautiful grounds, the sound of birds, the little details like the bird feeder and outdoor decor. The staff were not only lovely but very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great suggestions for trips during our stay, which we actuallyused and enjoyed. The room itself was just amazing with a huge four poster bed overlooking the garden and gazebo. We loved that there was a separate little office area and hallway, and that the bathroom wasn't directly beside the room. We had so much space. The bathroom was incredible (and very much appreciated as we only have a shower at home), instantly running hot water. The dining area was lovely, the food delicious, and, again, wonderful staff. Despite being above the bar, the evenings were quiet and peaceful, and we saw a fox running through the garden.
The perfect touch, for me, was the dog friendly aspect (we met Matilda, a staff member's dog!!) with dog statues and artwork dotted around the hotel. We will definitely stay again, and will bring our own dog with us!

My stay at Park Manor Hotel was very enjoyable. I was walking the Cleveland way, I needed to dry all my clothes. The receptionist offered to dry them all for me with no charge. Staff were great breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Set in Scarborough with sea views and just a 5-minute walk to the beach, The Whiteley is a Grade II listed Victorian building with a garden, a shared lounge and rooms with free WiFi access.

We loved everything about our stay at the Whiteley. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated with a fabulous sea view. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was a good size and very efficient.
Nothing was too much trouble for our host Alison, who made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were great with plenty of choices and cooked to perfection.
Car parking was easy : although there was limited parking on site we were issued with a parking permit to park opposite.
All in all a lovely stay and we’ll definitely be coming back.
