The continental breakfast was very nice but if you wanted a cooked breakfast that was extra which I think should been included in view of the price.
Incredible views across the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park can be enjoyed from Gwbert Hotel’s bistro.

Each room had a view. It was relaxing and friendly. It was very comfortable with one of the best bathrooms we have come across in the UK and Europe. Excellent breakfast included in the tariff.
This renowned hotel boasts one of the most breathtaking views and marine locations in Wales, overlooking Cardigan Bay, the rugged coastline, the Teifi Estuary and the broad sweep of Poppit Sands.

The host messaged me twice before my arrival making sure I had all the information I needed.
There were teas and real coffee and milk and sugar in the kitchen in case we were late or not prepared. Toothbrushes too. Everything was there that we needed and that we could have forgotten.

Cardigan Castle disappointing, not much to see, may be of more interest to somebody wanting historical facts. To me a waste of time and money. Castle virtually non existent.
Cardigan is a town that time has forgotten! For that it is pleasantly quaint. Nice cafes.
Probably better on a fine day!

Quite a quaint town during the day but at night it does come alive especially the pubs.
A really lovely range of shops and food places.
A visit to the castle is a must.
The best places are often the ones reccomended by locals.
2 days just wasn't enough for me, as just a little further out was glorious bays, beaches and mountains but more spectacular was the waterfalls

Beautiful area to stay despite the mixed weather.
Beautiful area to stay despite the mixed weather.
Went for a few walks on the coastal pathways which had breathtaking views. Cardigan was 10 minutes away by car. Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Crwst. This is a must for anyone visiting the area.
Great pasta lunch at Berlotti's. A fairly good variety of shops in Cardigan.
We also visited Theatre Mwldan during our stay to watch the latest Poirot film.
Beautiful accommodation in a lovely home and rooms just outside of Cardigan. Wonderful fresh cut up fruit is served with your breakfast. Hostess was lovely and very accommodating. We needed an earlier breakfast in order to catch the Poppit Rocket bus to hike a stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
The approximate mile long road approaching the lodging is a typical narrow country lane (with turnouts) that can be a little nerve wracking for those not accustomed to narrow roads. This establishment is well worth the drive down to it.
Everything about the hotel was outstanding.
- Amazing view of the coastline with a chance to spot some bottlenose dolphins and grey seals if you are lucky.
- Located by some beautiful beaches and coastal walks. Roughly 5-10 mins drive from Cardigan Town.
- The room was immaculate and every member of staff so friendly.
- Complimentary hour in the spa each night was an added bonus we did not expect, but really needed after a full day of exploring West Wales!
We enjoyed the whole experience, The hotel, room, parking, Breakfast, staff, location there was nothing to complain about but everything to make our stay a very happy stay. Thank you to the hotel staff for a very professionally run operation and very friendly interaction that goes a long way to remembering a very happy stay. We would definetly stay at this hotel if in the area in the future.
Best wishes and good luck to Cardigan Castle Hotel.
Truly stunning location with magnificent views over Cardigan Bay. The restaurant and bars face onto the views with lots of outside tables and seating too. The constantly changing light and weather make for ever-changing vistas.
Huge room and bathroom. Super king-size bed which was very comfortable. Quick and efficient service in bars and restaurant. Easy parking.
The location is superb for town, yet was very quiet, even in the garden. The garden is lovely and has adequate privacy (great for yoga!). The cottage is very comfortable, relaxing and tastefully furnished. There was thorough information about the house, appliances, services and local area provided by the host in 2 well stocked files. Would definitely rebook.
Good location central to the Town and a good base to visit the area. Car park accessed via gated entrance was narrow so care needed. Accommodation was within Castle grounds in annexe to main building. Room was large with en-suite just as large, overlooking Castle garden. Breakfast in Castle cafe, friendly staff with views to river or castle grounds.
Hotel was in a great location, a short walk from Cardigan high street. We are happy to walk quite a while, so not only did we take a walk to Mnwt Beach )a couple of hours) we also walked to a restaurant in St Dogmaels (took about 40 mins). It was easy to get everywhere from the guest house. host was very friendly as well.
everything was nice and clean few cob webs here and there, really lovely location…..
the ferry inn down the road was amazing great food really good service lovely location deffo recommend.
the teife hotel restaurant had a beautiful location over the bay and nice outdoor seating next to the bay.
Breakfast was good quality food. The view from dining room is over the bay and would be the envy of many hotels.
We had dinner on two evenings, with good choices on the menu. The standard double room was adequate, and the bed comfortable. The large shower was a lovely surprise.
The location was ideal just outside the town center to all amenities just set back from the main road. We used this has base point to travel around the area visiting all the beaches or villages.
The host Sue was very welcoming and the bungalow was lovely clean and comfortable.
The staff are nice and welcoming. The room was lovely. Completely remodeled The shower was amazing. Great water pressure Comfortable bed. Honestly this is a great place to stay for those who love going on road trips and want to leave no stone unturned while exploring Wales.
Location was perfect for exploring Cardigan and its surrounding coastline. 10-15 drive for most beaches we wanted to visit. The cottage was also close to the town centre. but still felt like we were secluded in our own little quiet haven!
Breakfast was very well prepared and delicious. The fresh fruit and croissants were very good. The location of the house is very close to Cardigan town centre. The hosts are very nice people and we recommend you stay there.
Was visiting an aunt in the area so perfect location!
Breakfast was excellent. Best I’ve had in a long time and stay in a lot of hotels/guest houses! Very nicely presented and very tasty and plentiful!!
