The room was beautifully decorated and there was cake and a small drink on arrival. There was fruit in a bowl and fresh milk in the fridge in the communal hall. The towels were fluffy and thick. We could take the dog in to the bar to eat. Before we arrived we were called to ask if we would like to book a table as they only had one left. The food was exceptional . The veggie options were limited on the menu so they offered to make me stuffed pepper with risotto wild mushrooms and goat cheese. The desserts were delicious.
The bath was beautiful.

Easy to find, good carpark, in centre of the village. Close to shops and pubs. Good size room, good lighting, a lot of noise from the room upstairs but that was the only downside, they were walking about a lot until late. Everything that we needed in the room, plates, cutlery, small fridge, kettle teas, coffee, sugar, hairdryer.
Set in gardens with uninterrupted views over the Northumberland countryside to the Cheviot Hills, this beautiful Georgian property houses luxurious 5-star bed and breakfast accommodation.

Beautiful Georgian house, with large well maintained grounds. We stayed in one of the suites, which consisted of bedroom with super-king bed, bathroom with a gorgeous rolltop bath and large separate shower, and a sitting room. Handy having a fridge in the room as I have medicine that must be kept cold. It was quiet and peaceful, and with the comfy bed, we slept really well. Breakfast had lots of choices and all very well cooked. Michelle couldn't do enough for us and made us very welcome. Easy drive to Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Sea Houses and Alnwick. Lots of local pubs to eat in. We loved our stay here.

Chillingham Manor is a beautiful house in gorgeous grounds. We were staying for a wedding and the location was really handy plus the owner helped us with finding taxis which made life easier. The room was gorgeous, everything was spotless and the bed was super comfy. Our breakfast was also delicious. We’ll definitely be back but for longer!

An idyllic location in itself, picturesque and tranquil, and very close to internationally famous sites, such as Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle, Hadrian's Wall and the Kielder Forest Dark Skies.
Nearby, there are myriad ancient churches and friendly pubs, with the latter often serving locally sourced meals for reasonable prices (and the former providing spiritual nourishment for free).
I can't think of anything that I'd avoid on my next visit.
