Cookham Dean is a delight.
Cookham Dean is a delight. Very pretty old village in a very green setting. Several pubs, including one owned by the community, very dog friendly and lots of long grass so they clearly care about the environment. Plenty of walking possible and all facilities available in Cookham.

Try the restaurant at the Mole and Badger, it may not look much at first but the food was brilliant. We wished we had, had longer to enjoy our meal! (Our commitments, no fault of the hotel) Lots of lovely looking pubs around. A great place for walking with or without dogs. The staff were very accommodating and looked after us very well. The gardens were really pretty and and well laid out with the swimming pool being a bonus. Continental breakfast included which was very adequate. Rooms were very comfortable with well equipped bathroom. A short walk from two other village pubs and about half an hour walk to the rest of the village.
