Porridge was available, great, couldn't find marmalade. Lots of choice, could hot food be covered as it got cold quickly and we were early. Room lovely, beds comfy., clean, hot water, no complaints. Staff efficient and friendly. Location fine for coast visits. We love Northumberland so are biased but would visit the hotel again and recommend it to others.

Lovely clean & tastefully furnished home, with very comfortable beds. Clare was a wonderful host who popped round to make us welcome.
Sunny courtyard a great bonus!
The location is perfect…….totally private and quiet.
The location is perfect…….totally private and quiet. Very clean room
The bar area is very small and the drawing room is small……however if you’re looking for a private venue for your wedding ( so you take over the whole place) then this is perfect!

Eshott Hall is a beautiful, relaxing blend of genuine old and modern. The food was excellent, top-notch, and always so very well presented. All the above was brilliant but the icing was the high quality of staff.
Nothing at all to grumble or complain about.

The house was beautiful, spacious and clean, the grounds pleasant to walk round and all very dog friendly. The breakfast had a good selection of full English or Continental and all very well cooked.
We ate our evening meal at the Old Boat house in Amble which I highly recommend.
Eshott is easy enough to find and is a very picturesque little village.

Beautiful location in an old hall.
Beautiful location in an old hall. Our Sea-Biscuit Room was excellent with a huge bathroom with shower enclosure. A spa bath would have been an added luxury but you cant have everything, similarly the room would have benefited from a king sized, even a super king size bed and there would have still been loads of room.
Breakfast choice and quality was excellent - we did not eat in the hotel at night so am unable to make a comment but if the food was as good as it was at breakfast then I am sure it will be excellent.
Selection of wines and bottled beers available at usual prices for hotel of this quality.
No spa or gym on site but I believe the RPG's sister hotel at Doxford has these facilities so may try that next year.
The hotel was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing due to its location but equally only a 15minute drive to Morpeth which has some amazing restaurants. I booked this as part of my girlfriends 30th and the hotel couldn't have been more helpful allowing me to send some balloons etc in advance which they kindly set up for me. The room was very spacious, the bed and the room had everything we could have wanted. The breakfast choices were good and the library was really nice to sit and have a drink at night. I highly recommend Eshott Hall.
Beautiful building and stunning grounds. We appreciated the unexpected upgrade to the superb Versailles room which was a lovely surprise.
All the staff were excellent, helpful, friendly and professional.
Everywhere was clean and our bed was particularly comfy.
The food was delish, fine ingredients and beautifully presented.
We were saddened to hear that Eshott is for sale, we really hope once sold, it remains a hotel so we can re-visit.
We loved our room which had a view over the walled garden. Unfortunately up a flight of stairs, but we coped. Our first night's dinner was good but on the subsequent nights, dinner was served in a rather bleak hall which was not as cozy. Perfect location for exploring nearby attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, the puffins and Holy Isle. No parking issues and easy access to our rooms.
The house itself was beautiful, and our room (Versailles) huge and well decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant was out of action for the night of our visit, but the provision of a free taxi service to a local gastro pub was a thoughtful touch that made up for some of our disappointment at missing dining at the hotel.
The hotel is high quality in a great setting. The evening meal and breakfast were fantastic but so were the prices
The staff were really good
My pal and I are walkers and it's not really a typical walkers facility but it was fine, if very expensive
We liked the friendly relaxed atmosphere at the hotel which was created by the great staff .
The hotel was comfortable and welcoming and the food excellent . The hotel actively welcomes dogs and our dog was also made very welcome too !
The hotel and surrounding area is stunning, breakfast was great and the evening meal was just beautiful only thing I would change, was the length of time we spent there, it could have done with being longer.
we liked its location, and we had a super room. all the staff were so helpful, extremely friendly. and the whole atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and comfortable.
