Eyam is a very pretty and really interesting village, with plaques on houses which are relevant to the history of the village relating to the plague. They have a museum that also tells the story of how the village was affected by the plague, which unfortunately wasn't open due to time of year. The village pub (The Miners Arms) is a very charming pub with an excellent choice of drinks. They also serve food, which we would definately recommend.

Interesting historical village with a harrowing story to tell which was well told with signs outside some of the cottages with what had happened to the inhabitants during the Great Plague. This was a stop over for us on out journey to Northumberland.

Small but very good and informative museum in the village.
Small but very good and informative museum in the village. We only found one place to eat - at the pub - but the excellent Indian restaurant in nearby Stoney Middleton is worth a visit (booking advised).

Eyam is a beautiful historic village.
Eyam is a beautiful historic village. A great place to stay with good facilities - a post office, local shop and store, tea rooms, village pub and post office. The Eyam Tea shop is a must and a lovely meal can be had in the Miner's Arms. It's also a great base for exploring the Peak District and surrounding towns and villages.

Full of history and character.
Full of history and character. Good to explore local footpaths. Visited in March so lovely and quiet. Recommend walk to Monpesson's Well but it's quite an uphill hike from village.
Walk (or drive) to The Barrel at Bretton for good food and fantastic views.

Such a beautiful and interesting village in the Peak...
Such a beautiful and interesting village in the Peak District, we had no idea of the history of the village during the Plague when we booked a weekend away. The museum and church are well worth visiting, with so much information and memorabilia on show, we were warmly welcomed at both. There’s also lots of interesting information dotted about the village. We were lucky to see the beautiful well dressings when we visited during their carnival week. There are a couple of good places to eat with an excellent choice of food and drinks, The Miners Arms was our favourite, we also enjoyed a coffee and cake at the quirky Vintage Tea Rooms. We would avoid visiting on a bank holiday next time!
Despite what Booking says, Bretton cottage is not in Eyam but overlooks it; you have to go through Foolow to get to Bretton which overlooks much of the area...great location though. The host was very helpful recommending local eating establishments (Bull's Head Inn and Red Lion - both were excellent). Our room was big with King Bed which was very comfortable. No ambient light so very dark at night. Breakfasts were first class and host was flexible with mix and match from menu choices. Internet was quite fast.
Fantastic hosts, really friendly and welcoming. Room was big, warm and absolutely spotless. Comfy bed with extra pillows and blankets if needed. Good size en-suite and powerful shower. Breakfast was excellent, great selection of continental and cooked options that were high quality. A draw full of information about the area, places to visit and some history of Eyam in the room was very helpful! Would definitely recommend to a friend and visit again!
Lovely Village, set in spectacular scenery and central for visiting some of Derbyshire tourist attractions. The food at the Miner's Arms was outstanding, from the freshly cooked breakfast offering local produce to the stunning food from the evening menu, which offered a wide choice and again cooked to perfection. Ideal place for dog's too, we had two sausage dog's with us and were worn out by the fuss alone.
Beautiful location with wonderful views. Glad we chose the room which had windows overlooking the view. Lovely clean and comfy room with very modern ensuite. Great smart TV and wifi access. Food was great with an excellent breakfast. Location near Eyam which has a fascinating history and well worth a visit. We spent a lot longer there than we expected.
Absolutely lovely place to stay - very quiet and quaint with chickens wandering past the kitchen window, and all the history of Eyam on your doorstep. There’s parking (just note it’s a bit tight), and Ricky and Chris had left us milk, cereals, tea and coffee etc. Bed was comfortable and it was lovely having a roll top bath to enjoy!
Great location just a short stroll from the heart of the wonderful village of Eyam. Our hosts were very helpful too when we arrived by providing us with the door code. Really nice facilities as well such as two bathrooms (one with a bath), very comfy beds, a very comfy and spacious living area and fairly well equipped kitchen.
The cottage was clean and well equipped for a very comfortable stay. The location was good and the information pack was a really useful guide to the area. We walked to Eyam one day after reading about the bridle path.
The bed and shower facilities were very good. The location is nice and quiet. We were able to walk straight from the property over Eyam Moor and beyond. The owners answered all questions quickly.
Accommodation, village, everything was beautiful, clean, tidy and hosts were super friendly, helpful and they make delicious breakfast. The best place to stay at when exploring Peak District 👌🏻
A beautiful peaceful location. Dogs were very happy there. Very clean and tidy with a good coffee machine. Short walk to a lovely village pub, didn't eat there but food looked good.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a beautiful setting easy for exploring the peaks and with a well stocked shop nearby to get supplies for our walks.
Friendly staff, comfortable spacious room, excellent bathroom and shower, great food, and an unrivalled location with an amazing view over the Peak District.
