The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, spacious and with a comfortable bed. Forest Row had a few places to have a breakfast and evening meal, besides the pub.

Location was perfect as we were visiting Wakehurst Gardens which was only 2 miles down the road. Parking on site was ideal and convenient, the pub served very good food, great choice of main meals and the breakfast menu catered for all. The room was overlooking the garden which was lovely particularly as we were so blessed with good weather too. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room with fresh milk ideal for making those all important cuppas.

I loved this area, and the bus can get you to the town and there's plenty to eat and explore in town BUT to get to the beautiful ashdown forest or forests/farms around, I would recommend having a car.

We booked for our anniversary and it was exactly as we had hoped. A little bit of luxury, solitude, and relaxation. The food was excellent (although a little slow in the restaurant). The room was very comfortable and spacious. The grounds are delightful for a walk (we did 4km, but there are shorter walks). The staff were all friendly and helpful and the relaxing back massage was amazing! We made a good decision to eat in the Brasserie on the second night as it was more relaxed.

Forest Row has some lovely independent boutique shops, restaurants and there are other lovely places to visit nearby too. Ashdown Forest has many walks and a visit to Pooh Corner and Pooh Bridge is a must ... or it always is for us!

Property is situated along the road but was still quiet.
Property is situated along the road but was still quiet. Beds are soft & comfortable. The owner was also very hospitable. It is actually a property with so much potential. Unfortunately, the owner doesn't have staff to help him provide full service such as keeping the bar & kitchen going. Hence, it is basically a place to sleep. Not a problem though since there are café's just outside of the hotel.
Disliked · Sad that it cannot provide full service due to lack of staff. I can imagine how wonderful it would have been.

The Forest Row has a lot of rooms, mine was clean and well presented, the staff was very helpful, plenty of parking.
I was part of a large motorcycle group touring the area, so being a large group can be difficult, but all was accommodated for without hesitation.

I loved the tradition and the character of the hotel.
I loved the tradition and the character of the hotel. It was full of history and the location in the forest looked beautiful, although we just stayed the one night and then travelled to near by family in Haywards Heath !! However, the hotel is in need of urgent upgrade of curtains , carpets etc. The hotel looks very tired.
I loved my stay at The Swan at Forest Row! On arrival I was greeted by Richard who is just lovely; warm, down to earth but also professional. My room was cosy and clean and decorated in a style I like too. The location is fab and was just a short walk from the venue I was attending. My veggie breakfast was included in the price, was delicious and set me up until supper time!! Really excellent value for money. I will certainly be back!
when I booked it, it flagged up Horley, which we went ahead and booked drove to..i telephoned after realising it was forest row. I telephoned the hotel to see if I could be refunded to be told there was nothing they could do. It ruined the whole planned evening. I expected as I contacted straight away a refund. The staff was very unhelpful. I booked the chequers through recommendation. .
The staff at Brambletye Hotel were very friendly and helpful, the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. In the lovely decorated room there was a little fridge and a fan to make the air feel cooler during the hot days. The hotel is in a central location with a great Pizzeria / Café just across the road. I had everything I needed, thank you !
Staff were very helpful. Prior to our stay, we were forewarned about a party taking place on the evening of our stay and were offered a quieter room, which we took. Also staff were very helpful when my husband discovered he had left his jacket in the room. The hotel packed it up and forwarded it on for us.
Accessibility was a major setback, getting to work and town was quite a Herculean task as the bus from the high street was often delayed or never showed up. And the taxis, cab or uber and bolt were not available at forest row, So these made quick moving around really dificult and logistics quite expensive.
Friendly, nicely designed pub with rooms in Forest Row. Clean, characterful bedrooms, great staff, lovely garden and a great breakfast. Used as a base for Ashdown Forest walk then Ardingly antiques market. Thai Time up the road was a good spot for dinner if you want to eat out locally.
My visit was partly nostalgic ( I lived in Forest Row 80 years ago) and partly fact finding. The central location was therefore very useful.
The service and attitude of all your staff was exemplary and the food at every meal was excellent. The chef should be congratulated.
I really enjoyed the coziness is the hotel. I feel the whole building has a lot of history and has seen a lot over it's many years of service. The staff was lovely and the food served at the restaurant was delicious!
The hotel is in a good relaxing sleep area , with good access to shops. Hotel is well equipped with everything you need to have a good stay and adjoining bar is great. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Nice location, no problems parking nearby for free. Village was accessible on foot and shops open late, with several pubs. Ashdown Forest and the High Weald are nearby for walking and relaxing.
Near to our wedding venue at the Ashdown Forest Hotel. In and out once changed and back for a comfortable night's sleep then a good breakfast to see us on our way.
GREAT HISTORICAL HOTEL IN A CHARMING TOWN. KIND HELPFUL & HOSPITABLE STAFF. WE APPRECIATED THE TRADITIONAL LAYOUT WITH THE TWO QUEEN BEDS AND ENJOYED THE TOWN.
