There was much to like, especially the friendly service from all of the staff. The hotel itself is a fascinating building, dating back to the early 1600's but very well updated and tastefully modernised. We particularly liked the garden terrace and the ability to stroll down to the river and explore.

Couldn't fault anything about our stay. We needed an early check in due to attending a wedding and Sara had it covered for us. Communication before the stay about various things was lovely too, we really couldn't have wanted anything more. Room was spotless, everything you'd need in there. Will definitely come back at some point to stay and explore the surrounding area, it's picturesque.

The village itself is wonderful and the surrounding area is full of interesting things to see and do. The WWT at Slimbridge is wonderful. The Canal system is also very interesting. The little town of Dursley is also very pretty and interesting with an exceptionally good restaurant, The Parsonage 53.
